Cheaters tarnished our democracy

Cheaters represent the corporations while ignoring the people

Cheaters lie to start wars

Cheaters steal elections

Cheaters repeal laws that keep our society healthy

Cheaters fund the military at the expense of crucially important public facilities

Cheaters ignore global warming

Cheaters are financially reckless

Cheaters send jobs overseas

Cheaters don't like the public

Cheaters subsidize corporations that endanger our happiness.

I know where Bernie Sanders stands on all of these issues.

1. It's the American Way

Cheating is deeply imbedded into the culture since....Watergate, the beginning of it all.

I'm not saying there wasn't cheating before Watergate, but the cheaters got off scot-free, and prospered. And their followers copied them and built a massive fraud that now runs the nation and part of the world; fortunately, not all of it. Not yet.

Going with Bernie is taking that fraction of a % chance. It may not be much, but it's more than any other option offered to the electorate in this round.

And I believe it could happen that Bernie is elected freely and fairly, and builds a counterweight to drive out the cheaters, with the help of a few fellow Americans (the 99% of us who are tired of it all).

If I didn't have that sliver of belief, I would be emigrating forthwith.

As it is, I will reconsider options in 2017, if our chance for true change falls through.

He keeps saying that America has the best opportunity for positive change of anywhere. I had dropped off the forum for quite a long time. When Bernie showed up, and I saw the response, I was heartened.

There is an array of things that could prevent even Bernie from accomplishing important changes. But ultimately, if enough people are unified behind a goal, we can make it happen.

5. That's because the story of America is the story of change-- unlike European and Asian traditions

The question is: is there any of that pioneering spirit left in this people? Or has it all been beaten and starved out?

Massive immigration fed that change process....but immigration has dwindled. Are today's immigrants sufficiently vigorous and hungry to restart the engines of change? They've been caught in the backlash, along with native-born.

If we don't have the hope for change, we have nothing (or Obama...I conflate the two).

6. I think it's about knowledge. We've been purposely dumbed down. Some of us.

Even having the time, and paying attention, it is only recently that I have really caught up to speed. It took OWS and Bernie to really spell it out. And DU. I was never like the rest, in that even without the proper information I never bought the hype, wherever it came from.

People are primarily distracted. Children, mortgages, and a bunch of stuff. I think the most important information people need is that apathy will lead to a very disturbing country. The financial institutions have already beaten our system. Being distracted and comfortable, people see no need to change, just like global warming. No real symptoms, yet.

We need to instill the vision of that better place to live. Maybe Bernie can do that. That's my hope. Hope not hype. Haha.

2. These Cheaters could be more accurately described as Fascists. Fascists!

That is what they are!

Those that embrace this race to the bottom, unreasonably high levels of military spending, perpetual war, corporate rule, a militarized police force, privatized eduction at the expense of public education and justice based on wealth and influence could be described as Machiavellian Fascists.

These are some ugly miscreants that have not a shred of true allegiance toward the citizens of the United States of America.

I'm enjoying this brief period of time before the voting occurs. I can imagine that all of the people who run their lives like they're on autopilot, suddenly hearing a voice of reason, and waking up to vote in their best interest. I keep thinking it can happen. It was a slow process, getting here. Yeah, the element of fascism is there. I can see David Cameron has made a disturbing statement alluding to a government that can simply circumvent the rule of law. I don't want to fall even further over here. But some people remain unconscious until a higher level of discomfort is experienced. And by then it's usually too late for meaningful recovery.

I'm grateful for Bernie's efforts and strength to be an honest individual.
