Bernie Sanders
Related: About this forumI wonder what it will be like on Tuesday in Burlington.
I am thinking of taking the day off on Tuesday to go. It's a four hour drive, and if I get a room for one night, it is quite reasonable. I wonder if anyone would have any idea of what it will be like crowd wise.
Four hours' drive in Darwin, the Prius is barely anything fuel wise, so that is barely a consideration.
A friend said that I should do it, because if I didn't, I would regret it. I am wondering myself.
The folks at work already know how I stand politically, and I already have a Bernie 2016 self-made bumper sticker in my cubical.
As a matter of fact a few folks, even one staunch conservative want "official" bumper stickers. If I go to Burlington, I could pick them up for people.
Just looking for some feedback.

(12,471 posts)It is a given for me. I always carry around my little point and shoot. I have learned that you will miss a great shot if you don't have a camera on you.

Be careful on the road, and can you bring back some of those new 'revolution' T-Shirts campaign staffers are unpacking now? Just kidding. Good luck and have fun if you make it.
That's such a beautiful area, I was in Putney a couple years ago and have visited VT and the NH border area.

I had the chance to meet Bernie last month at an event in DC when he led an anti-TPP rally in front of the US Trade Representatives Offices there. It was a Populism 2015 conference that I found out about late, but finished all my work, registered, posted about it on DU and was excited.
But the night before my boyfriend threw his back out badly from work and was immobilized for a week so I couldn't go. Not his fault but I missed a good conference and Bernie, oh well. Here's coverage of the rally and great photo of Bernie with 1,000 anti-TPP folks on the last day of the conference, April 20.

(62,325 posts)when you get a chance. Meantime I'll be watching the Ed Show and maybe CSpan will cover it during the day.
I'm definitely going to try to get to Vt for any rallies he may have, or maybe NH.
Have a great time!
