"The American People are Angry"! The Speech that could help Bernie win in 2016

That 2012 Bernie Sanders Speech That Could Help Him Win In 2016

"You know, I, for the love of me, I cannot understand why people who have billions of dollars are compulsively driven for more and how many people have got to die because they don't go to a doctor, because you want to avoid paying your taxes?" ~ Bernie Sanders

I do love this man, and this was the first time I heard the Senator from Vermont speak. Every year, I like to update and republish the speech, in hopes others will see him at his best, attacking Wall Street/1%, expressing the anger and the frustration of the people, and offering assurance and solutions. I remember thinking, 'Wow, where did this guy come from (even though he'd been in office since 2007). Why aren't more lawmakers like him?'

You cannot listen to this speech and doubt that this man should be the next President of the US.

If you can't listen to the whole speech, then start at approx 17 mins and listen to the last seven minutes.

There is so much truth in this speech it is hard to believe it is coming from a Politician.

I think this speech could be used at house parties and other meetups to introduce people to Bernie Sanders.

Add to that, his voting record shows that he votes the way he talks.

Is there any way anyone who actually listens to him speak and looks at his record could NOT vote for him?

Just let the people hear him and I KNOW he will win!

The Best Political Speech I Ever Heard

Sitting here in my apartment after a long week of work, I came across this article on Daily Kos titled “That 2012 Bernie Sanders Speech that Could Help Him Win in 2016.” After listening to the entire 25-minutes, I must admit, this is the best speech I have ever heard in politics, as Bernie explains very clearly why the American people are angry, and how we ended up living in an oligarchy. Three years have passed and every single issue that he mentions is even more serious, especially since the McCutcehon vs. FEC Supreme Court decision last year.

This speech certainly will help Bernie gain followers, we just need to share it with every person we know. The mainstream media has been marginalizing Bernie, as was to be expected with Hillary already being considered the inevitable Democratic nominee.

Since 2011, we have created worldwide movements using digital communication, and there is no doubt that these tools have the power to subvert mainstream media messaging.

He's right about that.

How can Democrats vote for anyone else? Isn't this what you want, what you stand for? Dustlawyer May 2015 #4
Throughout the Bush era yes, this is what most Democrats said they wanted, someone strong enough sabrina 1 May 2015 #5

People don't know about this but when they do, they will get on board. He is channeling the anger that many of us feel and I'm happy that someone is finally willing to stand up and do it.

We well know those that are against us. We cannot take a single step backwards.

to tell the truth about the most important issues facing this country today.

I think most Democrats WILL support him if they can get past the nonsense they are constantly fed that 'he cannot win'. The only way that could be true is if we don't vote for him.

it was just the Fox Bots. I guess in their defense they are worried about SCOTUS, but candidates like Bernie don't come along everyday. He is not a Nader etc., he has been a Senator a long time. Also, the big change we need means that at some point we have to take the plunge and pick a non-corporate candidate. Given that I am watching flood this minute for the umteenth day in a row (I live by Houston), Climate Change will not wait for us to get our crap together!
