Former ‘Run Warren Run’ director now heading Sanders’ NH campaign

MANCHESTER, N.H. —When Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders returns to New Hampshire on Wednesday following a presidential announcement rally in his home state, he will have one of the Granite State’s most seasoned progressive political operatives organizing his campaign.

Kurt Ehrenberg, whose political roots in New Hampshire date back 30 years, has signed on as the New Hampshire coordinator for Sanders’ campaign, sources close to the campaign confirmed Tuesday.

From January through last week, Ehrenberg had been the state director of the “Run Warren Run” campaign, an effort by Democracy for America and MoveOn.org to recruit to Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren to run for president.

"The Elizabeth Warren draft effort was a terrific idea, and I'm glad we did our best to try to get her in the race," Ehrenberg told the Vermont website Seven Days, which first reported the hiring. "I think many people still have hope that she will run, but I think the chances are less every day and every time she says she's not running. So I think we should begin to take her at her word."

Bernie followed by eight years of our first woman President, Elizabeth Warren.

We need her in the Senate or else I would want her to be in Bernie's cabinet.

I want us to have dozens of women a chip shoot away from the WH. Not just 2. Glass ceilings shouldn't be just cracked, they should be shattered.

that Warren is going to be helpful in the Senate. Just hope there are some progressive Senators to fill all of the Democratic vacancies.

This is helpful news as the kickoff is happening today in Burlington and I just today applied to work on Sanders' NH campaign. Have yet to hear but apparently they are swamped with applications.

before he even announced... they already had a long list of people wanting to volunteer. Makes me proud of our little state.

And I agree with both of you on all counts.
