They can ban us all and tear the DU edifice down around their ears, for all the difference it will make. We will still be right, they will still be wrong, and the consequences will be borne by all.
I will get several more useful hours a week out of the deal, and devote them to Bernie and other productive aspects of life. I and countless other Bernistas have the discipline, skills and motivation to do so, to survive and thrive and prevail.
What have the Hillary camp got? A massive inferiority complex, a growing fear of defeat, and a really bad attitude about just about everything. They are like the perpetrators of murder-suicide crimes...got to take as many with them as they can.
We will still prevail, because truth and reality has a strong liberal bias, as Stephen Colbert reminded us regularly. There will be change, because the present cannot continue, no matter how much time, money and resources are devoted to its maintenance.
The fear of change, the holding tight to an outworn idea (or relationship) because any other possibility is too scary, is a medical and mental problem, far beyond the scope of a glorified chat room.
One of the marks of a successful life well-lived is "growing old gracefully." Well, if DU isn't going to grow old gracefully, then it will die. And probably not in a blaze of glory, either, as a martyr to the cause. It will wither away, dying on the vine. Nothing lasts forever.
