and publicized his platform and covered his speeches with the record crowds he attracts - where he would be in the polls today.
Right now they are treating him like a best kept secret and even with the way they don't cover him - look at his support - both in people and campaign donations.
Go Bernie!!!

(7,006 posts)Way beyond. In the Alternative Media, Bernie is Beating Every Candidate 10 to 1. Social Media 20 to 1. The problem the MSM has yet to grasp a reality on is that 30-35% of the American Public is Disconnected from Cable, Don't Watch ABC, NBC or CBS and obtain their news online. Whether that be on Alternative Media Sites, Podcasts, Twitter, Facebook, Buzzfeed, Democracy Now, Think Progress, Alternet, Real News Network, RT (yes, many Millennials watch RT News) or elsewhere online.
Because of this, the influence for Bernie is high, much higher than folks believe. And folks are wondering about why does all this online buzz exist about a Senator from Vermont. Next, they travel to YouTube, Bambuster, Vimeo, Blab Beta and even Archived CSPAN Videos to learn more about HIM.
And what do they see? A guy that's talking about the issues that IMPACT THEM, THEIR DAILY LIVES and FUTURE. A Senator that seems as if he was called to serve the People instead of demanding those people elect him to fulfill a "lifetime goal".
Heck, they wonder when he got the goal to run for POTUS because at 73 years old -- either he became disillusioned with everything he seen in politics or had some inherent reason to campaign for POTUS at his age when most folks are collecting retirement, playing with their grandkids and on a regular vacation to anywhere.
Bernie's age is working FOR HIM with Millennials and Generation Xers alike. They understand he has seen plenty, and talks the language of truth -- STILL -- not politico speak. And remain impressed Bernie can maintain such a down to earth composer in the "Belly of the Beast and Fakeness" called Washington, DC.
The more they see, the more they like -- and will VOTE Bernie. Plus strongly teach others why Bernie Sanders MUST BECOME the next POTUS in 2016.

(814 posts)I think some of them DO realize the power he has within' the Internet which is why they're blacking him out. They're hoping the remaining power they have will be enough to convince enough people to back Hillary in the primaries and get her to win. After that she becomes President and figures out a way to shut out Net Neutrality or overlooks the violations being perpetrated on it by Comcast, Verizon and others(they're hoping for this, at least). They want their gatekeeper status and will see the Internet marginalized or co-opted to prattle on about nonsense.
Meanwhile DN and accomplished journalists like Naomi Klein, Jeremy Scahill and others will be frozen out. They might allow Matt Taibbi to still publish in the mainstream to present the illusion that the concerns of the common man haven't been completely shut down. Hillary fans as well need to remember that this election isn't just about Bernie, it's about having media that represents your concerns and your voice. A lot of places outside of the big cities have had their voices silenced unless they have a community radio station that represents the diverse voice of your city. Sure Obama approved a lot of low power FM stations but that's not enough of a gesture and their power level should be bumped up.
