O’Malley talks jobs, student debt and environmental change

Democratic presidential candidate Former Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley fielded questions from a crowd of more than 100 Sunday afternoon during a house party at the home of Carolyn and John Klaus in Ames.

“I think he is a guy who can create some opportunities for us all,” John Klaus said to the crowd who filed into the his backyard with lawn chairs in hand to hear O’Malley speak.

As one solution to stimulate the American economy, O’Malley supports immigration reform. He said that 75 percent of Americans are earning the same or less than they did 12 years ago, and something has to be done to improve the economy and wages.
