A monitor deal I found

If I had the cash, I'd buy one as a backup.
If you need a monitor, it's pretty reasonable.
I've never used a USB monitor so I have no real advice or thoughts other than it would make a decent second monitor as well. I use a second monitor with my laptop to make working in multiple documents and applications easier. My second monitor was found in the trash behind a drug store. It was missing its power brick but I took a chance and ordered a replacement brick and it works fine.
