What if Biden chooses a running mate who is FOR marijuana legalization and

also for some of the things that Biden is against? I think that would allow Biden to have a graceful transition into the correct positions without looking like he's changing his positions to win over the left. Thing is, the transition would have to happen very quickly (before the GE debates) because the last thing we need is for trump to lie and say he is pro-marijuana legalization while Joe is against. That would be a disaster!

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

I'd like him to pick a running mate that is for legalization and then come out and say "The VP is going to be in charge of defining our administration's drug policy going forward and I'm committed to following their lead".

And then I'd like to hear who he's going to name in some other key positions....Treasury, Defense, State, CFPB...let's hear the team.

When Trump put out his list of 22 judges that would be in consideration for SCOTUS, that was energizing for a lot of folks on the right. I know, he basically said "I'll leave it up to the Federalist Society" but they knew what they were voting for.

Let's do the same. Dem's are a coalition party - so let's get the electable coalition on the table now vs. post November 2020.

A man who was for marijuana legalization wouldn't have ever made Boss Hogg Sessions his attorney general.

Also, the vast majority of legal-pot supporters would never consider voting for Trump for any reason. They know the fucker will say whatever he thinks will get him votes.

Beto.

1. He is the most charismatic out of all candidates (yes, even more than Biden)

2. He was able to increase young voter turnout by 500%. He can do that on a national level. That massive number of new voters would lead to nationwide down ticket wins all across the country. It helps take the Senate.

3. He has proven with his Climate Change Plan that he can put together incredible policy plans that are well thought out and inclusive.
https://betoorourke.com/climate-change/

4. He is for legalizing marijuana AND expunging the records of those convicted of possession.

5. He is the most knowledgeable about immigration and the border, dreamers, eminent domain related to the stupid wall Trump wants, family separation, etc. That is what Trump is running on. Beto can call him out on all lies and follow up with facts and truth.

6. Texas has 38 Electoral votes. The @GOP NEEDS Texas. They CANNOT win without it. Beto already has a massive state-wide grassroots organization in place. For the first time ever, Republicans would have to fight like hell trying to defend Texas. It's a big state and would mean less time on the rust belt and other toss up states. We need to beat Trump DECISIVELY.

7. When Trump starts pulling his racist crap trying to divide and going off on NFL players kneeling there isn't anyone better than Beto to speak to that. Remember this?
