I think that would allow Biden to have a graceful transition into the correct positions without looking like he's changing his positions to win over the left. Thing is, the transition would have to happen very quickly (before the GE debates) because the last thing we need is for trump to lie and say he is pro-marijuana legalization while Joe is against. That would be a disaster!

I'd like him to pick a running mate that is for legalization and then come out and say "The VP is going to be in charge of defining our administration's drug policy going forward and I'm committed to following their lead".

And then I'd like to hear who he's going to name in some other key positions....Treasury, Defense, State, CFPB...let's hear the team.

When Trump put out his list of 22 judges that would be in consideration for SCOTUS, that was energizing for a lot of folks on the right. I know, he basically said "I'll leave it up to the Federalist Society" but they knew what they were voting for.

Let's do the same. Dem's are a coalition party - so let's get the electable coalition on the table now vs. post November 2020.
