Hillary said tonight what many of us have been saying here for a long time

It doesn't matter if we nominate the most charismatic, best prepared, most perfect candidate ever...as long as the Russian interference isn't dealt with, they will get away with stealing the election again.

She added that if anything, the Russians are now better prepared to interfere in 2020. This is the most important issue and the biggest obstacle we're facing. I believe all the candidate should join forces to deal with this problem, or else, 2020 will be a loss to us.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:

The surest path is state laws that's mandate the effective destruction of the abuse by awarding the state's electoral votes to the candidate who wins the most votes. This is concept is quickly gaining momentum and I urge concerned citizens to speak out in very forum to make this a reality.

Hillary still got nearly three million more popular votes. We can thank the electoral college system for that... and most of the states with the most electoral votes were lost by suspiciously narrow margins. If the 2000 election results were reversed, Republicans would never have accepted it. The benefit of that for the Democrats would have been popular votes deciding 2016.

https://www.congress.gov/bill/115th-congress/senate-bill/2593/text?r=6

Introduced in Senate (03/22/2018)
Secure Elections Act

This bill gives the Department of Homeland Security primary responsibility within the federal government for sharing information about election cybersecurity incidents, threats, and vulnerabilities with federal entities and election agencies.

The Election Assistance Commission (EAC) shall establish an advisory panel of independent experts to develop guidelines on election cybersecurity, including standards for procuring, maintaining, testing, auditing, operating, and updating election systems.

The EAC shall award election system cybersecurity and modernization grants to states and election agencies to implement the advisory panel's guidelines. Grants shall be awarded to: (1) remediate vulnerabilities identified by a cybersecurity evaluation, (2) replace electronic voting systems that are not optical scanners that read paper ballots, and (3) reimburse states for statistical audits of ballots in close federal elections.

the way they used to do it.

Every precinct provides multiple counters and multiple monitors from both parties. Throw in some media to chaperone. Make sure every ballot is safe and secure.

Then use AS LONG AS IT TAKES to count the votes accurately. Hell, if it takes a month, so be it.

Then, to top it off, if the EC doesn't support the popular vote, we citizens, en masse, refuse to accept the result, no matter the party who benefits.

We CAN bring this country to a halt, if needed.

Conor Lamb won a special election last year in rural Pennselvania. Over 200,000 people voted and he won by like, 400 votes. It literally as close as it could get. If Republicans were going to steal an election, that would have been the perfect one.

Same when Doug Jones won in Alabama. That election was tight as nails and the consequences were enormous because it was a Senate seat in a deep red state. If Republicans were going to steal an incredibly tight election, there's no reason they wouldn't have done it there.

Any candidate who has ever attacked, smeared or denigrated the Democratic party should withdraw now. Anyone who's droned on and on and on and on about how "corrupt" and "ideologically bankrupt" the Democrats are is really NOT in a very strong (or believable) position to say "Hey, vote for Democrats! (Never mind all those other things I've been saying.)" He (or she) is not the one for me.

The candidate that I support will be one that's a loyal and stalwart support of Democrats and the Democratic party. That's someone who has character and integrity... and those traits are very important to me.

I wish some Republicans would show leadership, not to mention patriotism, and step up to defend the country, but I'm afraid it's up to the Democrats, and the people. We all need to make our voices heard, no matter which primary candidate we support. This is an emergency. Although we can and should strongly support a primary candidate, the bickering must stop when it comes to our national security, which is what the Russian interference involves. And it should go without saying that once we have a nominee, she or he must have our full support to the point of being willing to do the hard work.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

55. I agree. I don't know that the Dems can do anything about it...except to win big.

We're not in control. But I don't know what could be done.

Couldn't intel disrupt them?

FB & Twitter are going after trolls, but that isn't 100%, and it doesn't address election hacking.

terms this is being restated in. Neither Russia nor the Republicans have a guaranteed means of stealing our next election. A majority of Americans are against them. If we vote even somewhat more of our strength they can't stop us.

Nancy Pelosi, for another voice, is concerned that we not just win but win by such a large margin of votes that it robs credibility of any accusation that Democrats stole the election.

supposed to be dealing with it — except for what Trump and RepubCo and what they can stop. But that’s not even everyone in government. And no competent campaign is not aware and planning.

Let’s face it, WE are by far the most ignorant and clueless, and passive because our role is huge but doesn’t come for well over 500 days still. And that will be very simple. Fortunately, we don’t have to know anything more than we do to play our part.

Any candidate who isn't ready to join with the others to get ONE of them through, is off my list.
