More Than 90% of Democratic Voters Want 2020 Candidate to Make Climate Action and Medicare for All Top Priorities: Poll

From the article:

The global climate crisis and Medicare for All are top issues for a large majority of Democratic voters, according to new polling results published Tuesday by CNN.
The survey (pdf), conducted last week, asked Democrats and left-leaning Independents how important they considered certain policy items.
Most people polled said it is somewhat or very important that the Democratic candidate for president in 2020 support party priorities like stricter gun laws, tuition-free public college, impeaching President Donald Trump, paying reparations to slaves' descendants, and restoring voting rights for all convicted felons.

But two issues stood out at the top.

And I believe his approach is the way to go toward a single payer system.

It’s a plan. Pelosi already has a commission to which protesting AOC refused to join and previously made a fool of herself protesting for a committee to focus on climate change. Way to be informed AOC!

A newbie and a grand stander who is suddenly all over the media unlike any other Dem. She is being pushed everywhere and it makes me apprehensive because, oh, I SO trust the media.
None of her ideas are new either but I see people keep attempting to give her credit for them all the time.
I hope she has the good sense to work with Democrats. I seriously doubt it though.

Priority #1 - Winning the presidency
Priority #2 - Winning the Senate and maintaining the House
Priority #3 - Passing and enacting legislation

Nothing will be achieved without the Senate but the candidates never seem to talk about that.

Medicare Part A is paid for by employment deductions.

Medicare Part B usually comes out of Social Security monthly funds.

Then folks have to go and get another policy to pay for what isn't covered in Part A and Part B.

We need to see the details.

There is no Part A and B, nothing a patient has to figure. Gov is the payer, no deductibles or co-pays. Taxes cover it all and if you're too poor it doesn't matter as everyone is covered and the Office of Budget Management predicts it will be far cheaper than what we are now paying for Health care and a lot less complicated. We are the only industrial nation without single payer healthcare. Time to end the billion dollar ins profiteering. They operate at a min 20% overhead thanks to the ACA. Medicare operates at 3% overhead since they don't have a profit margin to uphold.
