Report from Iowa City.. VP Biden is getting his sea legs

Yesterday we went to Iowa City to see VP Biden at Big Grove Brewery.. It was pretty chilly and they had fire pits going outside.. We were there an hour early and the energy was palpable.. by the way.. the Firefighters for Biden were there too... great looking shirts guys.. music was wonderful and if you ever go to Iowa City, Big Grove has great food..

The VP was about 1/2 hour late, but with the great music and food we were all happy.. VP Biden is getting his sea legs in his stump speeches.. and he needs to work on the first half a little...but as he went on he got more energetic and his closing was awesome and had everyone on their feet.. his closing lines Unity over Division and Truth over lies.. had the whole place on their feet..

GO GO JOE.... GO GO JOE..

Feeling very good about Joe today

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

Joe 2020 is the campaign sign... Very Dark Blue with JO in white and E in red stripes.. looks like the flag.. and loved those lines... because that is exactly what people are so sick of.. the divisiveness of the Trump agenda and the never ending lies..They were the highlights of the speech..

There are always asides, anecdotes and explanations which are often better than the speech itself. Not to mention the sixties lingo man.

is when Joes starts talking to the audience. It’s new and effective. The only other candidate I’ve seen try it is Pete Buttigieg but Joe is does it better. It’s like being in a party and have someone lean in to say something just for you.

....and Biden's been around enough to be just what we're all craving. A little bit of normalcy.

He did start out a tad rusty, which is understandable. I hoped he would be back to his old self with a bit of practice. Joe can be very impressive on the campaign trail!

Lots of people.. tons of young people.. and young families... little kids and babies and plenty of boomers too.. he is testing his speeches there.. and he really has some good points.. and some need work.. but realizing this is one of his first events and that is what Iowa is there for.. to test how your speeches are going over.. good place to do it.. he was much smoother than I thought he was going to be because he has only been on the stump for a couple of days..
