....Bernie Sanders. I've not supported Bernie as a candidate this year, but watching him tonight with his old progressive fire was a real motivation. I was excited by his candidacy in 2016, agreed with his positions and supported him. Tonight was a reminder, to me at least, why I wrote checks and cheered in the auditorium when he came to town.

(38,958 posts)A great deal of the progressiveness that we see in other candidates I believe stems from Bernie Sanders and I would happily support him if he becomes the nominee.

(15,634 posts)same appeal about economic sanity and justice for at least twenty years now that I can recall, and probably longer. Hes done more than anyone to preserve the notions of FDR progressiveness and move the party back toward the left. Hes a national hero in my view even if I may not support him with my vote this primary season.

I didn't see someone who could win the primaries.
