Joe Biden has an outstanding lead.
Can he keep it?

(7,277 posts)This is really only a bit of fun.
In not a wrecker. I have posted one thing genuinely critical of Biden about the Bankruptcy Act, withdrawn another after criticism by DUers I respect. I was the first to post the America: Anything is possible ad, and have defended Joe on Marijuana and his role as Chairman on the Anita Hill hearings. Mt response to the Hunter Biden post was thoughts and prayers.
What I am critical of is the triumphalism of some supporters on the basis of a polls following the Announcement. The honeymoon may extend into an unassailable lead, but its too early to crow Signed sealed and delivered.
Will Biden maintain his lead? Will you still love me tomorrow?

(48,892 posts)Biden supporters are happy about the polls.
Please tell me which candidates' supporters WOULDN'T be happy if their candidate were the frontrunner in multiple polls.

(7,277 posts)Inslee/Klobuchar because that have no charisma.
Yang - because his Democracy dollars are off the wall.
Hickenlooper because Fracking is good for the environment
Gillibrand - Al Franken
Gabbard - Dingbat
Sanders - unelectable, leader of an alien insurgency that only cares about raw power.

(48,892 posts)the nomination and/or the GE.
My question was which candidates' supporters wouldn't be happy if their candidate led in multiple polls. And I was asking that in response to your suggesting that Biden supporters posting about polls is "triumphalism." I wouldn't expect ANY candidate's supporters NOT to celebrate good poll results, but that does not equate with "triumphalism."
Do you think Warren supporters WON'T post any polls showing her surging or leading?

(7,277 posts)There are none I wouldnt support against Trump, if thats what youre asking.
My personal preference moves around Buttigieg, Harris and Warren. At the moment its Warren by virtue of her ongoing policy proposals.
Id like to hear more from Cory Booker. I like Beto
I post articles here about the candidates who are not getting the attention they deserve. Bidens campaign doesnt need any help there.

(3,259 posts)More like its directed at Stein supporters and the HA Goodman crowd. The lead singer is still out singing will you still love me tomorrow.
Fifty plus years later and still doing shows. Thats awesome. As beautiful as ever.

(8,361 posts)I agree about the singer, I love that song, I remember it when I was a kid. That is great she is still out there singing.
I could be wrong but I don't think Stein supporters are the target audience.

(146,248 posts)Why not take a positive, issues-driven approach to support the candidate you prefer. This kind of nonsense is not going to help her at all, and it makes you look desperate.

(146,248 posts)You remember your posts, but most of us don't keep past posts in our memories. I have made considerably more than 100,000 posts on DU. But, each one stands on its own merit or lack of merit. Expecting others to remember what I have written in the past is expecting too much. So, I don't.
I could click the four links in your post, but won't. I'm just not interested enough to do so. It is the most recent post that is at the top of people's minds, not something you wrote at another time.
You will do as you please, of course, as will we all.
