Scoop: Sen. Kamala Harris Will Not Appear On Fox News For A Town Hall

https://yashar.substack.com/p/scoop-kamala-harrisfox-news
Presidential candidate and California Sen. Kamala Harris will not appear on Fox News for a moderated town hall, according to two sources familiar with the matter. Harris’ campaign has not yet informed Fox News executives of her decision.

Harris joins Sen. Elizabeth Warren in declining to appear on the top-rated network. As Senator, Harris has never appeared on the network for a sit down interview.

A spokesperson for the Harris campaign told me, "They've reached out but we haven't entertained it.”

Yesterday, Warren announced she was rejecting the opportunity, tweeting, “A Fox News town hall adds money to the hate-for-profit machine. To which I say: hard pass.”

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

Right now, my top priority is who I think has the best chance to win the general election, and who I think has the best chance now, may not be the same person six months down the road, and it is still quite early in this process.

or be interviewed by the NY Times. I can tell you...none. Zip. Nada. Because MSNBC and the NY Times do actual news, and don't spew hatred and division like Fox.

In 2016 the orange menace called Joe Scarborough's show every other day, and like idiots, they put him on the air. I doubt if even now he would refuse the chance to go on MSNBC. Bill Weld couldn't wait to go on Lawrence when he launched.

I'm glad Harris did this. I'm glad Warren kicked off the effort. I hope the rest of the Dems wise up and follow suit.

20. Terrible decision.

One of the best decisions Sanders made was to go on a Fox townhall. Which is much different than a one on one with some interrupting sycophant host. Millions of Fox zombies that watched, and were exposed to the truth, either because the TV was simply always on Fox News, or because they wanted to watch the "socialist" go down in flames, or perhaps were genuinely interested in hearing a candidate on the other side but only on Fox News, as to them it would be in a 'fair and balanced' environment.

It says to me that they do not have confidence to answer questions from Trump supporters. That they are afraid of looking like fools. They are proving to the Republican base that they have nothing. And that point will now be hammered home by a lot of the Fox News hosts when they describe their decision.

So instead of sowing at least a few tiny seeds of truth and doubt in Trump, with a captive Trump audience. (As well as supporters who would be clapping for her), her and other Democrats look like cowards with their avoidance of speaking in the halls of the enemy.

Even if only to get kicked off the set by using her time to pontificate on how Fox News is supporting a traitor. That would be fricken awesome! I'd love one of the Democrat candidates to accept an invitation and then be removed making Fox News the ones that are intolerable. But none of that is possible now.

been leaning in this direction. Without exposure, all that's left is what they're fed when we're not present.

Fox can spin things any way the like, but when people see with their own eyes and ears, isn't there a chance they'll hear something new, or get a sense that the boogey (wo)man isn't as far out there as they were led to believe?

I don't know. Maybe there's nothing we can do to reach them, but it definitely won't happen without direct exposure.
