(102,112 posts)is the best candidate to win against Cornyn, rather than automatically accusing those of us who express a simple desire to beat Cornyn of "being against her?" The two are not synonymous.

(2,113 posts)Beto supporters hear this same comment about 100 times a day. I'm at the point that I automatically block anyone on twitter who says it. If Beto is on the ticket this woman will likely win. She's a very good candidate and Beto helped boost youth turnout by 500%. He could do that nationally and Democrats would benefit everywhere from it.

(102,112 posts)As to the Senatorial races across the country, we have an incredible wealth of impressive Presidential candidates--many who personally have opted not to run for competitive Senate seats and not all states have similarly attractive candidates as MJ Hegar. To think the latter is not equally important and that we should not be equally focused is folly.

(185 posts)I don't know why people want Beto to drop out to primary her. With both Beto and MJ running for separate races, there is a great chance to turn Texas blue, especially if Beto gets the presidential nomination.

With both of them on the ballot I think Texas would definitely go blue.

(102,112 posts)YET well known. Why do some DUers always assume the worst intentions of others who merely express a desire that Dems focus equally on recruiting the best candidates for competitive Senate seats as they do our Presidential nominee? Really. I'm really curious as to the reasons...

(185 posts)Sorry, it wasn't my intention to specifically assume this about you-- I meant this as a general comment to the huge number of supporters of other candidates (and Russian bots) who are pushing this.
I should have thought more about how I phrased my response because, as you reminded me, there are a lot of people out there who don't know MJ.

He's going to be on the Katie Tur show on Sunday night too, but it's up against the Game of Thrones finale. I'll have to record it, lol.
On edit...I just realized it's a 2 hour show. I don't normally watch MSNBC, so I thought the show was only an hour long.
