Joe did what he had to do today!!!

Defined the bottom line perfectly... If we don't defeat Trump, there will be absolutely no discussion of progressive ideas ( Health-Care, Climate Change, EPA Enforcement etc. ) This early Biden Strategy of not being specific with progressive ideas.... is specifically directed at voters in Florida, Penn. Wisconsin etc. crucial to a Dem Victory.

If Trump remains in office.. All hell will break loose IN 2004!! Progressive ideas will be shelved for another 8 yrs..

So in the end ...I hope through the primary season Joe stays in the middle as much as possible...regardless of how loud the cry is from our new progressive Dems.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

Indeed, a bunch of platitudes and a return to normalcy, without promoting firm progressive policy positions, is not going to sell anyone. After four years of tRumpty Dumbty, the American people demand more.

Hopefully, Joe will retool his speech for future rallies... I just wasn't inspired and I sincerely was looking to be.

Though I did not EXPECT Joe to change it in ONE SPEECH, given the volume of Joe's prior positions that already do not strike a chord with me, I was still HOPING he had gotten the message and was willing to express a vision of the future that goes at least a little beyond a return to normalcy.

I was genuinely disappointed that I didn't hear that vision today. I would have LIKED to and then Joe might have climbed a bit on my Top-10 list of preferred Democratic candidates. Despite that disappointment, I will STILL keep an open mind about Joe and look to see if maybe he evolves on some of the important progressive issues of the day, as the Democratic primary race rolls on.

Indeed, Joe is EXTREMELY likable, which is probably one of his greatest strengths and certainly has helped propel him to the top of the polls.

You can continue to constantly criticize Bernie all you want... see if I care. Would it be nice if you kept an open mind about him as he runs in the primary?! Sure!! But, as long as you vote for Bernie in the general, after he secures the Democratic nomination for President, that's really ALL that matters.

After the loyalty Joe showed Obama, THAT ALONE - as well as many other things - makes Joe an OUTSTANDING individual... so, please speak for yourself about how you dislike Bernie... that's fine,
I don't care. But, please don't speak for me about Joe.

Do I disagree with MANY of the policy positions Joe has taken over the years? Damn straight I do... but, does that mean I can't stand him?! HELL NO!! In fact, I like Joe VERY much as a person, and, yes, I also like some of the things he stands for politically, as I've mentioned before.

And that's PRECISELY why I'm keeping an open mind about Joe and hope he evolves on many of the issues I disagree with him about. (And, yes, there's a LOT to disagree with.) Cuz, in the end, if Joe wins the primary and becomes our nominee - in which case I'll vote for him ENTHUSIASTICALLY!! - I'd like to see him carry out at least a part of the progressive vision that Bernie has helped bring to the fore.

Okay, you can continue now to misrepresent my feelings about Joe and put words in my mouth... carry on!

as the frontrunner, is that it provides a political vacuum other Democratic candidates can fill, giving them ample opportunity to compare and contrast their vision of
a forward-looking progressive agenda, with Joe's voting record and past positions that seem a bit outdated.

It just seems like a bad political strategy, but, then Joe has the best advisors money can buy... and, so, one has to assume they know what they're doing. Obviously they've mapped out a strategy they think will get them across the finish line... I have my doubts, however, that it'll work, which is why I expect Joe will change his political strategy fairly soon.

When the primary winner is declared, no one should even so much as HINT that they're not going to vote for the Democratic nominee.

To date, though, it's encouraging that I've yet to see even a SINGLE post to indicate otherwise. (Perhaps, I missed it... that's possible.) So, that gives me hope that, when this primary is all over and decided, we can unify around the winning nominee and achieve the ultimate goal of ridding ourselves of that prick occupying the White House.

At least that's my hope... one I believe is easily attainable.

I didn't hear that today from Joe... no doubt, he'll get the message and, hopefully, provide a bit more inspiration at his next rally. That's what I'm looking for after suffering at the hands of Dick-tator tRump!!

If Bernie or Elizabeth win... nomination?.... All you will hear from the White House and every Trump supporter... are the words.. Baby Killers, Nanny State, Socialism, Guns being taken away..etc..

Biden to me represents the one who can appeal to those who voted for trump or did not vote in 2016.

Listen Biden is not my first choice.. In fact if we were in a perfect world Warren would win..and I would have voted for her..

But we live in a country filled with ignorance .. Joe being nominated would play an important role in Florida Wisconsin, and Penn. necessary for a Dem Victory!! No Chance that Bernie could possibly carry those states.

primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

Like Biden and Harris. I really like Mayor Pete, but if a man gets the nod, he will have to pick a woman for VP. I don't care one way or the other, he just will.

I don't care who the democrats nominate, WE NEED TO SUPPORT AND VOTE FOR THEM!

I'd vote for my dog before pumpkin head. Come to think of it, he's probably smarter than trump.

You actually think I have to be enticed by Joe.. I call it being impressed by joe..

... Bernie Sanders is brilliant.. and would make a great President...However You must know that Florida, Wisconsin, and Penn. are critical in order to win.. I think Biden will fare much more positively with these kind of states than Bernie.. If Bernie is nominated He will be called the King of The Socialists.. The Nanny State Leader.. and anything else that would portray him as a bleeding Heart Liberal... It just won't work!

51. Final passage...
Sun May 19, 2019, 02:30 AM
May 2019

....no other nation can match us, if we step up and lead by the power of our example, not the example of our power...

the only thing that can tear America apart is America itself, and we can not let that happen...

...everybody knows who Donald Trump is; even his supporters know who he is ... we have to let them know who WE are, what WE stand for...

We choose HOPE over fear, TRUTH over lies, and yes, UNITY over division! We need to lift our heads up, open our hearts, and remember who we are - the UNITED States of America! There is not a single thing we cannot do if we do it TOGETHER!

Not bad ...

Play with trump's head , and suggest Obama could be his running mate. Others could do the same thing by suggesting Hillary could be anyone's running mate, just to play games with trump's head. Maybe others he's attacked names could be suggested like Comey , Clapper , Brennan, and use it against him to rile him up. They also should call for a commission on corruption in our government if elected to get the complete truth out to the American people.
