Dodd-Frank is so much stronger than the piss-weak Glass Steagall was (even Liz Warren said Glass-Steagall was worthless).

Bernie could not explain how he would even break up a centralized investment bank like Goldman Sachs in that famous New Yorker interview where he stumbled and mumbled the entire time.

I have studied a lot of politics and the economy lately

But you don't present an economic case why Bernie would be any better than the Obama economy that Trump inherited. Low UE rate, low inflation, healthy banks once again, etc were all part of the Obama recovery.

Many of us see Biden as Obama V.2.

I like that. I want that.

Please present an economic case for Bernie Sanders since I have never seen one.

But do you know that if the 1% were taxed at 70% it still would not balance the budget?

https://taxfoundation.org/summary-latest-federal-income-tax-data-2018-update/

Look, I am all for higher taxes on the 1% but it won't pay for Medicare For All or the Green New Deal. Not even close in fact. I WANT a 70% tax rate just to pay for what we get now.

edit: I chose 70% because AOC proposed it. But she wanted only MARGINAL (above $5 million) income taxed. My figures tax from the very first dollar earned and still does not balance the budget.

If Bernie wants this thing, he needs to do what is needed to win the primary, and it’s obvious he’s down in the polls. He doesn’t have evil ladies to blame for it now, so he’ll actually have to show some hustle. Too bad

Among those who say they're paying a lot of attention, he leads Sanders and Warren 42% - 8% - 15%.

16. The problem some Democrats have with Sanders is not his policies
Fri May 24, 2019, 11:45 PM
May 2019

it's that many of his supporters openly refused to support the Democratic nominee, then either stayed home or threw their votes away on some third party candidate. That's how we ended up with Trump.

If the 2020 primaries come down to Biden and Sanders, I fear Bernie's supporters will start making the same noises all over again, bragging that they will never support the centrist "lesser of two evils" Biden. Some people never learn, I guess.

Sanders seems to inspire a certain degree of recalcitrance in his supporters. I think it has a lot to do with Bernie's personality and outlook. Political purity is a losing strategy, it will only result in four more years of Trump.

I would prefer someone to the left of Joe Biden. Still, no matter who wins the Democratic nomination, she/he will have my full support. But, I remain skeptical that Bernie's diehard supporters will feel the same.

primary today, I would vote for:
