The LCV National Environmental Scorecard for our 2020 Democratic candidates

When it comes to the environment, every single 2020 Democratic candidate ROCKS!!

I pulled all the individual environmental scores of our 2020 candidates from the League of Conservation Voters website at http://scorecard.lcv.org/

The LCV keeps track of who votes for or against environmental bills. For any member of Congress, past or present, they list the 2018 score for that member and also their lifetime score. The scores I listed here for the 23 candidates are their lifetime scores.

Our 2020 candidates in alphabetical order with their lifetime LCV National Environmental % score (if available):

Michael Bennet 90
Joe Biden 83
Cory Booker 99
Steve Bullock N/A
Pete Buttigieg N/A
Julián Castro 96
Bill de Blasio N/A
John Delaney 94
Tulsi Gabbard 96
Kirsten Gillibrand 95
Kamala Harris 100
John Hickenlooper 94
Jay Inslee 92
Amy Klobuchar 96
Wayne Messam N/A
Seth Moulton 97
Beto O’Rourke 95
Tim Ryan 92
Bernie Sanders 92
Eric Swalwell 95
Elizabeth Warren 99
Marianne Williamson N/A
Andrew Yang N/A

In 2018 Booker, Gillibrand, Harris, Klobuchar, Sanders, and Warren all had perfect 100% scores.

And when you compare all Democrats in the Senate to Republicans just for the year of 2018, the average score for Democrats (and Independents who caucused with them) was 95% compared to a disgusting 8% for Republicans. In the House, the average score for Democrats was 90% compared to Republicans at only 8% again.

The majority of Americans have a soft spot for the environment. Let's hope that when 2020 rolls around we emphasize the environment way more than we have in some past campaigns because when it comes to the environment, there is no fucking way that Republicans can even come close to debating that issue.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden
