Biden on Memorial Day: Our troops are the heart, soul, & spine of America

Tweeted minutes ago:

Every #MemorialDay, Jill and I remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice in service of our nation. Our troops are the heart, soul, & spine of America—may we never fail to honor the memory of those who have fallen and ensure their spirit lives on in both our words and deeds.

ceremony because he values our vets and their service.

Trump knows exactly what he is doing and it is intentional - he has as much respect for our American vets, as Putin and Kim does...

I thanked my father-in-law for his service, he served in Vietnam from 1966 - 1967 in heavy combat. Some of his friends did not make it back and some came back injured and missing limbs. All who survived are still emotionally scarred.

Lies, deception and war profiteering. I could never join the military because I don't agree with the rationalization of any war (WW2 is always brought up as a good war but its the same old power grab as the rest (People's history of US by Howard Zinn) I think the wars will never end. They are just too useful at exerting power. There was a story a month ago about a father on a military deployment meeting up with his new recruit daughter who wasn't born when he first deployed. There was the standard "thank you for your service" but do we really want this? Do soldiers give up all responsibility for their actions when they join up? Where is the honor in that? Turning the military into myth hurts the real life soldiers(some my friends) who need help the most. This is all over the place, been needing to rant. Now out to my garden to plant more peppers (Ancho magnifico!)
