(42,862 posts)The BS campaign is very skilled at reading off items on the laundry list of everything that's "wrong" but short on details, plans, strategies... how we're to pay for the things we're being promised... and what compromises are willing to be made in order to get there. Typically, the "no compromise" philosophy that the BS campaign (and his followers) often encourage, ends up accomplishing ZERO... nothing. (Yet, for some inexplicable reason, BS and his followers BOAST AND BRAG that they "stuck to their guns" and didn't compromise... and making ZERO progress.)
Lots of talk talk talk. Very little progress. And don't forget... it's just a myth that BS "votes with Democrats 99% of the time" (and a laughable one at that). In fact, BS votes with the Democrats a shockingly low 80% of the time.

(67,782 posts)...how "progressive" they are, and also how crucial they are (i.e., major funding bills vs. post offices). It's not perfect but it gives an order of magnitude. Where it does have a fallacy is lifetime votes for Senators - Harris has only been in the Senate for two years, so she doesn't have as many votes as others. One "bad" vote will skew her rating more than one "bad" vote for someone who has been in the Senate several terms. I'm really simplifying this, best to check their site.

Bernie has made the same speech for over 10 years starting with brunch with Bernie on Thom Hartmans show. I use to listen to it religiously but nothing ever comes of it.
