Biden tweets on abortion issue:

Joe Biden (@JoeBiden) Tweeted:
States across the nation are passing extreme laws that violate a woman’s constitutional right to choose. These bills are a blatant attempt to overturn Roe v Wade. It's wrong. It's pernicious. We must #StopTheBans and ensure this choice remains between a woman and her doctor. https://t.co/J4FL9nQgol

Keep saying it.

I think this needs to be continually front and center even with a short tweet.

4. Joe, you just lost thousands of votes

Because you used the word “pernicious”.

Half the nation doesn’t know what that word means. And you just alienated lots of voters by using it.

Joe, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but that is exactly why you didn’t win the primary in 2008. You said things using words that didn’t connect with Jane average in Ohio. It’s about connecting with America. Simple words matter.

Your intentions are fine. But your tweets are going to make or break you, and your uae of words that alienate are going to harm you if you are not much better advised. Get a reviewer for every tweet before it goes out. Get a second opinion. Ask if Jane and John Middle America are going to understand and agree with the message. And remember that 40% of Dems are pro-life too. Don’t alienate them either. You are going to need a big big tent.

Finally, about abortion. What will sell to both sides better is: the Government doesn’t belong between a woman, her family, and her doctor. Abortion is the most serious decisions they have to make- and Its already been decided in Roe that the right to make that decision is only between them- NOT the government.

Trump talks at a 5th grade level. Right now our candidates need to be careful not to alienate anybody. Simple words to convey a strong message- and make it so they understand what you want to do.

You can’t be just anti-Trump, you have to have a positive message of what you will ensure is done.

...than Donald F. Trump.

Joe Biden has been in politics all his life, and is highly skilled with the folksy charm. In fact he's known for it. He's got the old relatable to blue-collar class thing down pat.

Win, lose, or draw, I am incredibly glad Joe is giving it one last run.

though we all knew that he was.

He was masterful at using rhetoric to inspire.

Twitter wasn't as high profile as it is now. So maybe some of our candidates need to learn better ways to leverage the platform.

Win, lose, or draw, I am incredibly glad Joe is giving it one last run.

Biden is making Trump very nervous. He should be. And that nervousness will lead to more foot-in-mouth disease down the road--good for all our candidates. Trump's ridiculous comments in Japan caught a rebuke even on Fox News. In addition, Biden's appeal to the working-class electorate is real and he has the ability to lure those voters back to the Democratic Party. Because the dissatisfaction with Trump is also real, despite what his chorus of enablers say.

Btw, read last night that Morgan Stanley has issued a 'recession alert.' All the markers are in place for a substantial economic downturn. Not good for the country but even worse for the Trumpster.

the language is too lofty for a political message, though.

"Pernicious"? What a strange word choice. Why not just use plainer and more forceful language?
