(92,325 posts)trying to paint Joe as an anti-environmentalist
There was one the other day where they showed a "Greenpeace" survey on the candidates view on the environment, and they graded Joe a D-. When I looked a little more closely and saw they rated Andrew Yang as a D+, I realized either their criteria was very flawed, or they have a political agenda, beyond their suppossed concern for the environment
Perspective is desperately needed, instead of propaganda.
Thanks again Cha

(58,785 posts)people too far left and right. They typically offend others by despising and lying about them to fit their notions and destroy what judgement they may have started with by believing their own lies. Wash, rinse, repeat on down the rabbit hole.
To the point that they will not accept some of our most promising, committed and above all effective politicians on climate subjects IF they're "mainstream" instead of dissenters like them. Like Jay Inslee; he's not on their lists , but Sanders is a towering giant in fighting the climate crisis.
Just look at that completely phony "rating" Greenpeace just released with the obvious political purpose of elevating Bernie Sanders and sabotaging Joe Biden. Where is their commitment to fighting climate change in that?
Another pro-Sanders far-left group, EcoWatch, was very unhappy with Sanders' temporarily low 2016 LCV rating because the man was running for president and missed a bunch of votes, but his record in other years has been quite respectable. Big deal, right? Instead of accepting and explaining that, they attacked LCV and padded that with ridiculous nonsense about what an outstanding climate leader Sanders was.
In both cases, lies greatly preferred because the truth would not do. Even when it would.
Now, the gold-standard League of Conservation Voters thinks well of Biden because they know his environmental beliefs very well (and have his voting record on site back to 1973, they've worked with him to accomplish goals for decades, and they trust him and his ability to come through. That last is big. Only success counts.
And unlike GP and other far-left groups, LCV's discussion of all our candidates is always professional and objective.

It's too bad Greenpeace is trying to gaslight with their grading system.. I used to like them a lot. Bought their calendars every Christmas for my loved ones when I lived in New York.
Yes, the facts on the ground are vital!
