How Joe Biden Could Win the Democratic Nomination With the New Hampshire Primary

https://observer.com/2019/06/joe-biden-democratic-nomination-new-hampshire-primary/?fbclid=IwAR0yC5xZp8mafpeFEMsjcAmDq7xeSZu3MEcxAeCM9MkbLRFsh7t-fzro_wE

Former Vice President Joe Biden could wrap up the nomination as early as February 11, 2020. That’s the day of the New Hampshire Primary. And unless his opponents catch fire with the public in the Granite State, Biden is looking at a huge win against two main opponents—in their own New England backyard.

TelOpinion Research has released a poll track from late May 2019, showing how Democratic Primary voters feel about their candidates. And the results show that Biden is much loved by New Hampshire voters. If the election was held today, he’d win in a cakewalk.

How Biden Is Blowing Out His Opponents Big Time in New Hampshire
The former Delaware Senator had the support of 33 percent of the voters in the survey, well ahead of Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders and Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren. Other candidates, like Pete Buttigieg of Indiana, Kamala Harris of California and Beto O’Rourke of Texas, were in single digits in New Hampshire.

I suspect the field will thin considerable at that time. Now that California is part of ST, it's going to be a significant day for the entire field. (Not that it wasn't already....)

Joking. Mostly.

a big Biden win there sort of blows Bernie's campaign out of the water.

big expectations. How Warren or any of the others fare depends on the order of finish and how far behind the winner they are. It's even possible Warren could be the outright winner given recent polling trends. The primary is 8 months away and all sorts of things are possible.

After this week's Hyde amendment debacle, I'd be surprised if Joe even makes it to New Hampshire; once the debates start, he's going to have a hard time staying in the top tier of candidates.

but I think if she and Bernie stay in they're going to split the same slice of voters, leaving the lions's share to Joe. But the devil is in the details and if it's close a lot will depend on how NH allots delegates, early voting, so on.

p.s. this is very encouraging so I'm gonna bounce!

TGIF !

14. The narrative that Biden is "loved" is belied by the fact he has only 33% support.

He's leading, but 2/3 are either unsure or want someone else. If the field remains fragmented, he wins, but don't count on a fragmented opposition. Someone will emerge from the pack as his main opponent, then those two will duke it out.

He hasn't closed the deal yet.
