Impeachment supporters: why are you in such a big hurry?

This discussion thread was locked as off-topic by Yonnie3 (a host of the Democratic Primaries forum).

From the time Nixon pulled off the Saturday Night Massacre to the time the House started an Impeachment INQUIRY was.....seven months. Nobody rushed to declare that he SHOULD be Impeached, or even that a vote should be held.

Of course, in those days, there wasn't an angry blogosphere second-guessing the Leadership's strategy.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

His foreign policy was not exactly destructive.
He actually had a fairly "liberal" medical plan (by modern standards anyway).

Trump and the GOP are doing massive damage to this country every day. That's the rush.

The issue is that we are talking to the wrong people. We are discussing among democrats about impeachment. The only people we should be talking to/about is republicans. It will only be successful if we can shame/convince enough republicans into doing the right thing.

It's been TWO YEARS OF THIS SHITE. We just don't have the luxury of time and we have a speaker who is clearly afraid to get her hands dirty. Lovely. Hillary should step in and become acting speaker. She wouldn't hesitate like Pelosi is.

The Rule of Law is under viscious assault, and any further delays on opening an impeachment inquiry will allow Barr to complete his cover up and distract the media with his investigations of the intelligence services.

We've had two years of high crimes and misdemeanors in plain sight, why wait any longer to open an impeachment inquiry?

..to be completed. He stresses patience--the truth will come out. Your post reminded me that impeachment inquiry on "I'm not a crook" Nixon didn't happen overnight and prompted me to research ongoing, outstanding investigstions on odious corrupt traitor in WH. DAMN! I exclaimed..ABSOLUTELY STUNNING! I exclaimed. According to NYT article, there are 29 ongoing investigations of odious racist traitor in WH, 11 of them initiated by Congress. (see link.)

My very wise father, a life-long loyal democrat [to this day has Obama's family photo in prominent place in kitchen area where he sees every day. My family photo? In living room...room only visited once a year for Xmas.] He reminds me that Speaker Pelosi knows what she's doing and when ready--she will act. Patience is a virtue, wisdom comes with age. Yet, we agree that oaf in WH, congressional republicans are nothing but lying, cheating corrupt, racist, bigoted b#@$@@s and can not be trusted..EVER! So today, Monday, June 17; only 6 months that we've have had the House; 11 ongoing investigations on guy --so we wait..."the wheels of justice turn slowly, but grind exceedingly fine."
