FORMER OBAMA AIDE SLAMS BIDEN'S LATEST PITCH FOR BIPARTISANSHIP: 'YOU CAN'T SHAME' MITCH MCCONNELL

Barack Obama's White House deputy chief of staff Alyssa Mastromonaco slammed Joe Biden's latest pitch for bipartisanship, saying that some people (like Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell) just can't be shamed into working together.

Biden needs to refrain from getting into people's faces like he did to Joy Reid. That was not a good look at all.

by Alyssa Mastromonaco who is a Bernie supporter.

The summer after her sophomore year of college, after seeing Representative Bernie Sanders speak on campus, Mastromonaco was hired by Philip Fiermonte to work as an intern for Sanders in his Burlington, Vermont, district office. At that time, Sanders was campaigning for his fourth term in the House of Representatives. Mastromonaco said that this experience inspired her to work in government after seeing how it was possible to help people doing constituent work on a grassroots level. Although she had transferred to Wisconsin to study French, the summer working for Sanders shifted her passion from studying French and Japanese to studying political science. The next summer Mastromonaco was invited to work for Sanders in Washington, D.C.

It sounds as ridiculous now as it did then.

The message should be - we need to win every down ticket race that we can. If we don't flip the senate, there will be more years of obstruction on healthcare, immigration and other issues important to the majority of the American people.
