He was on Deadline Whitehouse this afternoon and gave a lengthy talk on how the American people do not want Bernie.

(7,142 posts)He and Phil Donahue argued over invading Iraq, Tweety was for invading, they fired Donahue. According to Jeopardy Tweety is the 2nd dumbest cable news anchor next to Wolf Blitzer.
Tweety is pretty much always wrong.

(37,648 posts)He's saying what he's hearing. What he said about Bernie is that people aren't voting in 2020 for ideology. No one's talking ideology. No one is wanting the govt to run the economy or to go back to the days when the old left used to go to colleges and set up tables with brochures. (I think Tweety was referring to the old days when socialists used to try to recruit at colleges?)
It does seem like Bernie's ideology is not something Chris likes. Doesn't mean he doesn't like Bernie, the person. But mainly tweety was relaying what he's hearing from people in these townhalls and events.
It's always good to pay attention when voters speak. Now we have a clue why Biden's ahead. As Tweety said, Biden's not particularly ideological. (and some other things)

Ed Schultz lost his job because of it.
Schultz says his trouble at MSNBC started when he informed his bosses that he planned to cover Bernie Sanders' campaign announcement live from Vermont, and that he would be airing the first, exclusive, cable network interview with the progressive presidential candidate. They objected, and even went so far as to tell Schultz to drop the story.

(2,461 posts)I have watched all of them, and would say the discredited Brian Williams comes closest - for the first maybe 10 minutes of the hour, but then it devolves into opinion.
Ali Velchi (sp?) has some news.
Rachel has some news, but then it breaks down real quick into opinion journalism.
Surely there is enough going on in the world for one show to have one hour of news minus the opinion.
Edit - Steve Kornacki (sp) does news. Needs more air time.
