Now, predictably, Trump says at his campaign rally that HE will cure cancer, and AIDS,

and send astronauts to Mars, too -- and Jr. bashes Biden for promising to cure cancer if he's elected President.

Trump must have been really perturbed that Biden got the jump on him. Maybe it's why he decided to call his umpteenth campaign rally since January 2017 an "official relaunch."

“We will push onward with new medical frontiers,” Trump said at the rally.

“We will come up with the cures to many, many problems, to many, many diseases, including cancer and others. And we’re getting closer all the time,” he added. “We will eradicate AIDS in America once and for all and we’re very close.”

Trump’s comments came soon after his son Donald Trump Jr. criticized former Vice President Joe Biden for suggesting the US would cure cancer if he was elected president.

“Why the hell didn’t you do that over the last 50 years, Joe?” Trump Jr. said to the crowd.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

What is AIDS?

AIDS is a set of symptoms (or syndrome as opposed to a virus) caused by HIV. A person is said to have AIDS when their immune system is too weak to fight off infection, and they develop certain defining symptoms and illnesses. This is the last stage of HIV, when the infection is very advanced, and if left untreated will lead to death.
Basic facts about AIDS

AIDS stands for acquired immune deficiency syndrome; it’s also called advanced HIV infection or late-stage HIV.

AIDS is a set of symptoms and illnesses that develop as a result of advanced HIV infection which has destroyed the immune system.

Fewer people develop AIDS now because treatment for HIV means that more people are staying well.

---------------

It's not AIDS that needs to be cured, it's the HIV (human immunodeficiency virus) that causes it. And while HIV hasn't been cured yet, people with HIV can enjoy a long and healthy life by taking antiretroviral treatment which is effective and available to all.

Someone ought to yell during his helicopter news gaggle: "Mr. President, what exactly do the letters A-I-D-S mean? How is AIDS different than HIV?"

I'd also like him to address the growing problem of the anti-vax movement, much of which has been supported by the same Russian infiltration of social media that worked so well during the 2016 campaign.

The government appropriated millions of dollars to fund cancer research. Trump Junior can't be bothered to know that.
