CNN'S Don Lemon: I understand what Joe Biden was trying to say * Video *

Last edited Fri Jun 21, 2019, 10:35 AM - Edit history (1)

Don talked about how his mother believes that "the woke" will end up waking up the next morning with Trump being re-elected if they continue along this path.

He also said that candidates should be careful to not end up looking like opportunists by attacking their true allies, for political expediency, when they should be focused on the one in the White House who has proven not to be an ally...

I think we would need one. Too many amateurs this past week saying, "Well, what Biden really meant was..."

Biden has used the line before, probably many times, and even I had heard the story not so long ago. Cory demanding an apology for something he wasn't witness to and wasn't meant the way he insists on taking it is just sad.

primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

will take what Joe said the wrong way. Meanwhile, his opponents are going to nitpick everything he says. No wonder so many politicians sound so "political" and scripted these days. Someone will take everything they say and turn it into something it isn't. It is a shame actually, as Joe tends to be refreshingly candid and outspoken, but there is nothing like a contentious primary to turn a person into a scripted robot.

This won't be the last such attack on Biden. Things are just now heating up and whoever is the front runner is an easy target.

primary today, I would vote for:

Spending time ripping our own candidates is counterproductive, not matter who you support, and only feeds into what the GOP has set out (and is hoping) to accomplish..... Then, when I do a google search on Biden (and this topic), I might get to read about a bunch of DU democrats ripping on him. Pointless, and not only because this conversation will be forgotten in 2 weeks.

They are blowing this incident out of proportion. We, and they, need to let the debates happen and let the people—not the media—choose who will be the nominee.
