I just switched to undecided.

I still like Biden but I have found myself starting to gravitate to Warren. We still have some months to go so I am more than likely not at my final choice. Anybody who can ( in my opinion ) negatively effect a crappy organizations stocks by just saying one sentence is pretty damn good.

If I were to vote in a presidential

I'm still undecided, even though I like Biden and others.

I see this recent thing as a generational one. Biden's age-peers wouldn't have thought much about his choice of words. But now, our choice of words is more important on the campaign trail. Precision is more important. Understanding that people will no longer allow certain words to be perpetuated is important. If Biden doesn't get that, then maybe his generational thinking is outmoded and he needs to step back, or we need to make certain he isn't the nominee.

I don't know if my own comments on that are as clear as they should be.

policy and weak on follow thru with troubles in the media realm. Selfies with every single voter just won't be enough in a national
contest.

Yes, we chose her here in Massachusetts, but it was an easy choice over her opponent. Nationally the opposition, with the media's complicit help, will leave Warren in the dust.

I like that she's doing well, and I'll support her is she is the eventual nominee. But from my experience working with her on the campaigns here, I am worried for her ultimate success to cross the finish line first.

Pence has already called Biden "socialist."

“But increasingly, whether it be Joe Biden, whether it be Bernie Sanders, whether it be Elizabeth Warren and others in their party, they’re advocating a socialist agenda of more government, higher taxes and the same tired policies that created the malaise of the last administration where you saw less than 2 percent economic growth,” Pence said.

Source.

Doesn't matter who it is, that's their go-to insult. I mean Mitch McConnell is just tossing it around as much as he can:

“They plan to make the District of Columbia a state — that’d give them two new Democratic senators — Puerto Rico a state, that would give them two more new Democratic senators,” McConnell complained. “And as a former Supreme Court clerk yourself, you’ve surely noticed that they plan to expand the Supreme Court. So this is full-bore socialism on the march in the House. And yeah, as long as I’m the majority leader of the Senate, none of that stuff is going anywhere.”

in making successful counterattacks. Bill Clinton's closet was full of skeletons and everyone knew it. But he had a "war room" whose sole purpose was to kill negative stories before they started. So we didn't hear much about those stories and they didn't matter. Also Hillary played the devoted political wife and partner before everyone hated her for being a devoted political wife and partner.

Obama was attacked, plus he was, you know, the wrong color... So he countered with eloquent speech and good storytelling. He was cool, calm and rational at all times, the opposite of all dangerous stereotypes.

So Warren seems to have this now. She let the Pocahontas thing get under her skin. Now she got her own style.

She's not a socialist, she's telling the truth about modern capitalism. Of course they will call her a socialist but she will say that she is the only real capitalist in the room, because real capitalists don't sit on bags of money letting them multiply by themselves like rabbits. That's called passive income and it has zero social value. Real capitalists make real things, and if you aren't going to make those things, we'll take your passive income away and give it to someone who will.

As long as Warren sticks to a message like that, she can win. Because we all already know it's true, even those blue collar workers in Ohio, because they really aren't that dumb. They are just waiting for a politician to level with them.

My opinion.

the simple fact is that elections have often been criminal operations since the beginning of the nation.

We have secret ballots because there were times and places where you walked to the poll with your ballot exposed so you wouldn't be beaten and given the "correct" ballot.

Many of us remember the voting machines in the Chicago River, but what we don't often remember is that Nixon was dissuaded from making a case over that because even worse things Republicans in southern Illinois were doing would be exposed. Ballot boxes lost or destroyed, people just flat-out prevented from voting...

Every election since Washington's first one has had candidates pilloried by the press and the competition. Lies and insults were the norm, not the exception. And anyone thinks the press is bad now? NYC had over 300 dailies and weeklies, each serving a specific group, with Pulitzer and Hearst rising above them in a death match and competing drumbeats for war.

We should assume and expect that the other side will pull out its biggest bombs and guns and use every technology to destroy our side. Nixon's aim was not to just win, but to destroy-- and that hasn't changed.

This is what anyone nominated is walking into. Beating it can be done, as we have had some good presidents in the past. I would bet that Warren has a handle on it. Harris, Pete, and Klobuchar, too. I'm not all that sure about the rest of the front runners.

is being unfairly attacked IMO. You can't be in politics as long as he's been and not fall short a few times. He's not a big changer, usually keeping his finger on the general pulse. Well, now the general pulse is beating a bit more progressive. Joe's capable of leading into new territory. It was Joe, not Obama, who first advocated for marriage equality. I think Joe has the potential to generate more trust and voters. We've been through a hellish 2.5 years. Meanness. Stupidity. Mafia mentality. Overt abuse of power and rule of law. I can well sympathize with all the voters who are attracted to someone whose very political longevity connotes security. Our reputation has been trashed. Joe represents traditional values with our allies. Any of our candidates would be an improvement over what we have. A lot of voters decided to take a chance last time around. I think those people would now prefer a nominee who isn't an unknown, untested quantity. I adore Warren. Biden may well be what our mentally wounded national psyche needs in this situation.

I have always been torn between Warren and Harris, but after watching Warren's tenacity, shrewdness and boldness. She is just who we need to take on Trump. Warren is a fighter and I love her for that. She fights for what she believes is right and not what the polls suggests.

If I were to vote in a presidential
