(2,113 posts)1) Beto...despite being the only one really attacked he had the best closing and his statement on impeachment and holding Trump accountable were the ones I think that will resonate the most.
2) Warren
3) Klobuchar
I don't like rude, obnoxious people...especially with Trump in the office. I'm over the negativity and attack behavior.

(2,113 posts)And he's just not a rude, obnoxious ass. DeBlasio wasn't on my radar anyway and now he's even below Gabbard. Castro is now as well. Booker had been in my top 3 to 4 but he threw some shade Beto's way too, and anyone who attacks Beto is not for me.

(26,673 posts)De Blasio cut in too often but he made some good points, so he gets an honorable mention from me. And I didn't care for him coming into tonight.

(132,218 posts)your jobs and income in the last 30 years - the 1% has. (Not vebatim). Warren. Castro impressed me too. He's scrappy. Booker good. Beto not so great at communicating in this environment.

(4,686 posts)Were the top 3. You can put them in any order. I think outside of Klobuchar its a real reach to have anyone else in the top 3.

(113,973 posts)Klobuchar did well; DeBlasio was surprisingly strong (though I've never been a fan); Gabbard was very strong (though DUers know, I'm not a fan of hers either). Inslee did well too--especially in the first hour.
I don't think Beto had a good night. Delany either. Ryan was mixed, I thought.

(13,006 posts)...who wins the award for most substantially beating expectations.
And the award for most substantially failing to meet expectations goes to O'Rourke.
Booker, Klobuchar, and Delany were better than I expected, but probably not enough to matter much.
Castro, Inslee, and Ryan were bottom tier for me.
I think Gabbard and De Blasio are the two low-pollers who are most likely to have gotten a boost tonight.

(3,466 posts)DeBlasio was the candidate I learned the most about. Hes getting flack for interrupting - but I admire that he was determined to be heard! He surprised me and made me want to hear more from him. I wish Warren had done more of that. Booker and Klobuchar both impressed me, too.
