I think that the DNC need to force the networks to get the top five polling candidates in the same debate, then have five wildcards among the rest. Or hopefully the 1%ers will see that their efforts are fruitless and drop out of the race.

I don’t believe in polls, especially early polls.
Too much opportunity for propaganda.

I know this, Joe was handed his lunch by Kamala and Bennet at the debate. Joe better pick up his game. I saw what I saw.

The right fears Kamala, bots and trolls are hitting her hard on social media.

He was a little rusty on Thursday but I noticed the old Joe once or twice when he got mad. And the fact is he won that exchange with Harris by calling her bluff. She won on optics and that's fine. Anyway Joe will get his groove back soon enough

Game over point wise. She'd insinuated that he'd opposed her busing program and he hadn't. That was all he needed to say. Here's the quote:

BIDEN: Because your city council made that decision. It was a local decision.

bussing program he said. She did not link that vote to her experience.

She did not say anything about why she was bussed only the she was bussed.

She afterword said that she would not have been there if it were not for desegregation.

So Biden voted against the Education Dept bussing.

Harris asked why.

Harris stated that she was bussed.

The connection you talk about is in your mind.

Here's what she said:

And it was not only that, but you also worked with them to oppose busing. And you know, there was a little girl in California who was a part of the second class to integrate her public schools, and she was bused to school every day. And that little girl was me. So I will tell you that, on this subject, it cannot be an intellectual debate among Democrats. We have to take it seriously. We have to act swiftly. As attorney general of California, I was very proud to put in place a requirement that all my special agents wear body cameras and keep those cameras on.

Body cameras aside, and I can only guess what that was all about, the impression she created is that she was part of a court-ordered busing program to integrate Berkeley schools.

And Joe pointed out that it was malarkey. Berkeley's program was set up by Berkeley and wasn't court-ordered. It was a locally initiated remedy to segregation and that's what he supported in the 1970s. Fortunately he didn't use that word but he could have:

and set about correcting it. There were many more localities in the country that were either purposely dragging their feet or outright fighting school integration, busing to under past maintenance of segregation was the only option available at that time to correct the problem.
