Why does he continue to use an extremely problematic brand name? "Sounds cool, dude" or "You lose traffic and revenue when you change your brand name" are not good enough reasons.
In 1908, the Young Turks came to power in the Ottoman Empire after overthrowing Sultan Abdul Hamid. Armenians living in the region were hopeful because the Young Turks stood on a progressive platform. However, this was not the case as the Young Turks began a nationalistic Turkification campaign leading up to the events of the Armenian Genocide.
The Young Turks organized killing squads, which began the liquidation of the Armenian people. The Young Turks initiated a process that left Armenians drowned in rivers, crucified, and burnt alive. The main figures of the Young Turk movement, Mehmed Talaat Pasha, Ismail Enver Pasha, and Ahmed Djemal Pasha spearheaded a Genocide that resulted in the deaths of over 1.5 million Armenians.

(12,445 posts)Sure am glad Senator Sanders said there'd be no negative campaigning.
What he forgot to mention were his surrogates and trolls.
LOL! Transparently ridiculous.
It's deja vu all over again!

It's an attack while Casto is in the back of the field and likely to drop out early in the process. Why do they want to burn someone if they may want a later endorsement?

(28,836 posts)TYT isn't public, but it's probably safe to assume Uygur isn't self-employed in the usual sense of the word. Venture capitalists usually get a percentage of the organization in return for their cash. Sometimes, a hefty one.
As for why he's an idiot, his 15 years of Armenian Genocide denial didn't help convince people otherwise. Of course, he finally saw the light on that in 2016. Or the racist, misogynistic stuff he wrote around the same time that resulted in his resignation from Justice Democrats less than a year after it started.
But, in his words, he "was a different guy" then.

And just once, could we please have a conversation about issues involving race without someone reminding the crowd that "Bernie was involved in the movement since 63". We know...that doesn't explain his current positions, it's just a convenient deflection meant to act as a comfort blanket in an uncomfortable conversation.
