Senator Elizabeth Warren doesnt seem too unhappy about being labeled dangerous by investor Peter Thiel .
Thiel, who co-founded PayPal, Palantir and Founders Fund, made the comments in an interview on Fox News with Tucker Carlson, where he described most of the Democratic presidential field as equally unimpressive and called Warren the dangerous one.
Im most scared by Elizabeth Warren, he said. I think shes the one whos actually talking about the economy, which is the only thing the thing that I think matters by far the most.
Warren tweeted a link to a Bloomberg story about Thiels remarks with a succinct response of her own: Good.

(83 posts)An honest ( :/ ) republican who, perhaps inadvertently, told the truth we all already know -- things like abortion and Second Amendment rights are all camouflage. When all is said and done, all republicans care about is one thing -- the almighty buck to whom they pledge their fealty.
It's all about money to them -- minimal taxation and minimal (or no) safety net.
And that's bullshit, and it's the reason I want Elizabeth Warren to be our next president. Other than Bernie Sanders, Warren is the only candidate who will meet this bullshit head on and hit the republicans where they live. And level the playing field AND SHARE THE WEALTH. THAT is what Thiel and republicans in general fear the most -- losing the ability to buy car elevators while the indigent underclasses (and the middle class, for that matter) beg for crumbs.
I'm sick of this crap! And, while I'd vote for Biden (or whoever our nominee is), the fact is that neither he nor they (with the exception of Bernie) is gonna take it to the republicans and the current economic system in a meaningful way that benefits the poor and the middle class at the expense of the wealthy and well heeled.

(8,361 posts)They get suckers to vote for them because they appeal to their "christian" values. Which essentially means, their bigotry.

There's a great deal of overlap among these groups that contain the worst of us, but not entirely.

(1,501 posts)Unlike Warren Buffett, Thiel possesses zero social conscience.
My dream ticket remains Biden/Warren for good reason.

(10,874 posts)His opinions through the years have grown more racist and mysogenistic. He is a very shallow person who made a lot of money years ago. In a battle of wits with Sen. Warren, he has lost.

(35,438 posts)No human being needs more than a few million dollars to live a luxurious life. When wealth goes well above that level, it's a sign of mental illness. Hoarding money so that you can rule over everyone.
