They don't have to be convinced to vote Democratic. They just need to be assured their vote will count and be counted and then helped to get to the polls.

Focus on turning them out rather than expend energy trying to convince white men to change their vote - if they're still not sure if they're going to vote for Trump at this point, why waste time on them? We can talk to them until we're blue in the face but I don't trust them any further than I can throw them ... And the last thing we need to do is break our necks trying to change their minds, getting them to say, they'll vote Democratic only to have them turn around and vote for Trump anyway because their cousin Bubba changed their minds back in the car ride on the way to the polls.

not spend money establishing a presence in rural areas and campaigning there. Similarly, we should not ignore different demographic groups.

An effort can be made to educate voters which, though lost on Trump cultists, might be appreciated by Dem white workers. No one said appease their racism or sexism, did they?
PS Dems have seriously neglected the Asian/Pacific Islander vote. The younger generation tecentl6 voting democratic.

My point is, I guess, Trump's strategy is to get out his base. The first priority of Democrats has to be getting out the base. The conventional strategy of toning it down, moving to the center in the GE, is not relevant this time - the strategy in the primaries & the GE is basically the same - Get Democrats out to vote. (EDIT: If I was arguing Joe Biden's case, I would say, it is the depth of his support with African Americans, Moderates and Unions that is more important than his wider appeal. Playing down unions in the GE this time would be a mistake IMO).

My point is, Trump will be targeting, putting all his effort into his base, including White Evangelicals and Non College Graduate Men. I am not suggesting giving up, or alienating any group, but the greatest returns (by far) is getting out our base. It's a question of priorities.
