Harris & Booker have been sniping at Biden for weeks. Now that he's responding, some on Twitter

are saying he's racist for responding to the two black candidates.

Samples, from replies to a CNN Politics tweet about Biden responding to their attacks on him:

... the optics behind his attacks on Kamala Harris and Cory Booker looks a wee bit fishy; seeing as they're the only two Black candidates in the presidential race.

Biden doesn't like the black candidates for some reason. I see him and it is not good.

Yikes! He really resents black people that don’t sit down and shut up!

So Biden thinks it is wise to attack the black people in the race? Or is it that he is comfortable attacking black people? At any rate I voted for President Obama despite Biden being on the ticket. He is not Obama and doesn't have any of his attributes.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

That's twisted logic. Harris and Booker are on opposing campaigns just like all the other candidates. A statement like this says that by virtue of race alone, they should be treated differently???

Really?

Sorry but this is just someone churning for the sake of churning. Makes utterly no sense beyond trying to disrupt.

Wed Jul 24, 2019, 11:13 PM
Jul 2019

...she has not accused Biden of being a racist. She actually said he is NOT a racist.

What Kamala Harris did was refute Biden's own characterization of his relationship with segregationists, and his stance/statements on busing in the seventies. She responded to his own assertions about his past and record.

It's Biden who is relying on his record and past experience as his most prominent attribute. It's not out of hand to challenge him on that record.

I think Biden's difficulties stem from his unwillingness to address the questions Harris and Booker are raising, head on. Instead he resorts to this "I'm not a racist' dodge and it just make him look silly. It's an old deflection, and it has the effect of deepening the questions about his past, not alleviating them.

We are fair and pragmatic voters. The majority of us voted for Hillary Clinton in 2016, despite unprecedented attacks and attempts to paint Clinton as a racist.

Who voted for Trump?

58% of white voters - 37% backed Clinton

8% of black voters - 88% voted for Clinton

29% of Hispanics - 65% supported Clinton

more assertive. I'm not quite sure what Booker hopes to accomplish by going so negative. Harris is a contender and she needs to draw contrasts with the leading contenders. She is pretty comfortable being assertive. She does very well on stage but she's not doing much in between those strong appearances. Warren is by far the most improved candidate this year.

Biden had to respond to Booker's negative attacks with the Facts.. you don't leave something like that hanging.

I just thought of something about Booker.. his girlfriend is evidently Rosario Dawson, who advocated for Jill Stein, in the General Election.. so I wonder if she's giving him any idea about how to attack the front runner opponent?
