Medicare for All : Here comes the scare campaign.

IMO it is better that candidates to deal with GOP/Insurance opposition to Medicare for All sooner rather than later.

Counter ads that point out the sheer amount of PROFIT extracted from healthcare DELIVERY by the private insurance cabal. Put the numbers on screen for the compensation of the top 10 paid executives and lobbyists in the industry and then propose they compete with a non-profit public option and may the best provider, with the most care for the least cost extracted from care to profits WIN...

-Put the truth to the lie - eliminating employer-provided insurance CAN lead to more money to employees in direct compensation instead of via 'benefits' (which if you have them, have been getting to be a rather large percentage of one's total pay over the last 20 years). Elizabeth Warren is right - we need to talk about how much healthcare COSTS not how much taxes are to cover it. The current system, even for those WITH COVERAGE, is not what it could or should be...

Let them lie, but counter the lies with the truth....those ads? That is simply MORE insurance money NOT providing care...

like for profit hospital corporations. That's a big part of the opposition to health care reform since they don't want Medicare to have bargaining power to lower payments for routine services. Drug prices and medical supplies are another big part of the problem. There's a whole health care industrial complex making billions (maybe trillions) by keeping the status quo.

it's like they just get off the hook and MFA is paid for totally by a huge tax increase on workers. If workers will automatically see the bucks their employer used to pay for their insurance in their paychecks, they might feel they could afford to pay extra in taxes for their medical care.

is very revealing as are some of its policies. Like Dollar for Dollar Deficit Reduction, I quit reading there. The Leadership Team? Fascinating also, reads like a what's what. From their bios:

By appointment of President George W. Bush, Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer of the National Republican Congressional Committee, another Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer of the National Republican Congressional Committee, deputy secretary of the U.S. Department of Labor under President George W. Bush, the manager of Senator Mitch McConnell’s first reelection campaign in 1990, and served as McConnell’s chief of staff from 1991 to 1997.

Yes, they would be the ones to lead the scare team when Democrats are discussing policy to help Americans. Fuck them and their talking points.

that there are a handful of issues that Republicans have always lied about because they accept money from lobbyists to do precisely that, including health care, prescription drug prices, gun rights and global warming/fossil fuels. Just keep drilling this point, which some of the candidates did last night. I think people are starting to get it. The Dark Money/Lobbyist theme can't be repeated enough, IMO.
