that doesn't mean much - except to those who take the talking heads seriously.

Most people I follow on Twitter were seeing him going down - as I was.

He often was not convincing, did carry through with clear thoughts. etc.

It's obvious he's still shaking off the rust a bit, but you can tell he's getting back to his normal self and when I think back to what moments I remembered most from tonight, he had a few of them (his opening statement, his rebuttal to Gillibrand's silly attack, and his closing statement).

Got his website URL wrong and said we can't afford "8 more years" of Trump.

Odd that he was better on his feet than just reading his prepared remark.

They're stating what is true: Biden did well enough - but didn't have a dominating performance like Warren had last night. Biden was in a tough spot getting hit from all sides. He handled it well, though.

He knows this is just the dog and pony show stage Once the real contenders are alone on the stage it will matter.

His job was not to screw up. In future debates policy matters will be more important.

He understands the long game and did not need to throw any hail mary’s.

His opening statement did the trick for him.

Came out of it better than the last debate from an energy standpoint? Yes.

Right now the only person who has had two flawless debates is Warren. Everyone else has had some issue...of course the other three of the top four have been attacked more than her so that explains some of that.

But Biden didn't do anything to drop out of first so from that view he's fine but when we move from the practice debates to the real ones he and others will need to step their game up and yes that includes Harris.
