Seriously. Why is Youtube suggesting videos how great Tulsi Gabbard is to me?

Youtube has never suggested political videos to me, because I don't watch stuff like that on Youtube. Ever.

And even if it's because of the primaries, why hasn't Youtube suggested videos about Sanders or Warren or Biden or Harris or Buttigieg or whatever? Why the sudden interest in a candidate that's polling at 1%?

From February 2019
https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/2020-election/russia-s-propaganda-machine-discovers-2020-democratic-candidate-tulsi-gabbard-n964261

An NBC News analysis of the main English-language news sites employed by Russia in its 2016 election meddling shows Rep. Tulsi Gabbard of Hawaii, who is set to make her formal announcement Saturday, has become a favorite of the sites Moscow used when it interfered in 2016.

Several experts who track websites and social media linked to the Kremlin have also seen what they believe may be the first stirrings of an upcoming Russian campaign of support for Gabbard.

Since Gabbard announced her intention to run on Jan. 11, there have been at least 20 Gabbard stories on three major Moscow-based English-language websites affiliated with or supportive of the Russian government: RT, the Russian-owned TV outlet; Sputnik News, a radio outlet; and Russia Insider, a blog that experts say closely follows the Kremlin line. The CIA has called RT and Sputnik part of "Russia's state-run propaganda machine."

...

All three sites celebrated Gabbard's announcement, defended her positions on Russia and her 2017 meeting with Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad, and attacked those who have suggested she is a pawn for Moscow. The coverage devoted to Gabbard, both in news and commentary, exceeds that afforded to any of the declared or rumored Democratic candidates despite Gabbard's lack of voter recognition.

I compared news-stories about the democratic candidates on RT a few months ago: RT absolutely hates Warren and absolutely loves Gabbard.

This is YouTube's business model. They make money off advertising and selling data. If you watch a political speech on YouTube, they will suggest extreme examples of the continuum. Watch a Joe Biden speech on YouTube, get suggestions of Tulsi Gabbard. Watch a Trump speech and your feed will explode with white supremacists.

It's part of the problem.

I wouldn’t have used the word pawn, but of course since for a long time Sanders knew it was happening, understood it benefited him, and didn’t warn his supporters they were being targeted by Russian intelligence or put a stop to it, I Don’t know if it would be too far of a stretch.

Sat Aug 3, 2019, 09:39 AM
Aug 2019

She needs to make the sacrifice of pushing away "positive" coverage for the sake of the integrity of the election process. If she doesn't, then we know who from where her support comes. Russia. It's a simple equation.

Gabbard may be getting RT's approval because of her odd stance on Syria's Assad. Syria is a Russian ally and Russia has a port on Syria's Mediterranean coast. Gabbard needs to separate herself from Russia's interests. Period. If she does that, she'll be more competetive because some of the press are perceiving that she's loyal to Russia. That's not good for her and not good for the Democrats.

Syria isn't enough to garner her Russian support. It would be all about the sanctions, and more. This is why I will never support Bernie. The russians supported either trump or bernie in the 2016 election. Its in the Mueller report. And bernie has a bad record on voting on sanctions.

She needs to just drop out at this point. She may be playing a better game at not showing her loyalty than trump (who has no filter).
