(24,956 posts)He has Lou Dobbs, Sean Hannity and the couch sitters to cater to his whims
Shep Smith and Chris Wallace, not so much
With Alex Jones having been de-platformed in so many areas, outside of EWTN and some other right wing faux x-tian sites, he'll have a hard time finding places to go

(1,898 posts)tЯump will paint himself into a corner with this political equivalent of holding his breath until he gets his way. All of the networks except the one Chris Cuomo accurately calls "State TV" will call out such cowardice without mercy.

Have you seen his speeches lately? Hes not capable of debating any serious candidate.
His brain has walked off the job.

(23,458 posts)As anyone who follows politics could tell him, candidates - anywhere in the modern world - skip debates at their peril.
The last U.S. president to try that was (say it ain't so!) Jimmy Carter in 1980, who refused to attend the first debate b/c 3rd party candidate John Anderson had been invited.
Anderson, you'll recall, mostly pulled from Carter-leaning voters - and he feared being on the debate stage with Anderson might hurt him.
Ultimately, it was a self-fulfilling prophecy: Voters didn't like his not attending.
This very blunder has been known to cost candidates elections in other countries in recent years as well - including candidates who were running neck-and-neck, and might have been elected but for that one decision.

(53,986 posts)of their candidate choice being the best at "prosecuting the case against Trump on a debate stage". Been hearing that claim by by a couple of candidates.
There's nothing written in stone saying Trump's gotta participate in a debate.
