Democratic Primaries
Related: About this forumI listened to Sen. Sanders on Tweety about his climate change plans.
I agreed with everything he said but at the end of each sentence I yelled at the TV - "but have you fired Nina Turner yet?" As long as he has Nina Turner working in his campaign, I cannot support Sen. Sanders in the primary. I'm wrong and I know I'm wrong but I can't get past this.
Mind you, I will swallow my bile and vote for him if he wins the nomination but I'll need an antacid.

(8,144 posts)interest in, or knowledge about, foreign policy and relations.
A first nuclear conflict, which experts say we are closer to than ever before in history, would cause a climate catastrophe. However never heard anything on working for anti-nuclear proliferation, an Obama passion.
Bernies wheelhouse is narrow and shallow, filled by his ideology.
I am singularly unimpressed by plans he cant bring to fruition and his ignorance of issues our next
president MUST address as the leader of a super-power, the free world, and in view of Trumps blunders and negligence having brought us time forward on that nuclear clock.
Climate change is not the only existential issue we face.
Sexier though climate change may be, all of our candidates have good and in some cases highly
do-able plans for, while foreign policy, a less de jour area, is intertwined with climate change, and equally an existential matter.

(61,705 posts)It's easy to go on TV and say all the right things. It's very difficult to implement them. Who a leader chooses to work with says a lot about the eventual success or failure of promises.

(11,109 posts)She trashes Democrats at every opportunity.
If Senator Sanders wants to be a Democrat, he needs to hire Democrats in his campaign.

(11,109 posts)Note the poster suggesting Turner on the ticket is a Sen. Sanders supporter.
Every time I see Ms. Turner on the TV, etc., a get angry all over again. I have honestly reached the point that when I see Sen. Sanders on TV I scream at him to fire her.

(37,748 posts)There have also been serious misstatements on his part "kids on street corners" and referring to Planned Parenthood as "part of the establishment..."
But I get it... the Purity Narrative reserves your criticisms for Biden alone, and sacred cows are immune to their own gaffes.
