(6,231 posts)think Warren would want to be VP. She is so valuable in the Senate. If Biden would pick a strong, progressive, Dem, woman it would be a formidable ticket. We need the Senate, House & White House to change direction, It won't be easy or fast either.

(1,296 posts)whoever the final running mate is, I doubt it will be anyone in the top six candidates for the presidency.
Biden-Castro is a more realistic and balanced idea, I think. Castro might work for Warren as well, though maybe someone a bit more southern-fried might be more strategic.

Harris makes for a good "attack role VP"
but I don't know about that now... now I am thinking Biden / Castro.

(3,419 posts)Texas would be in play with Castro or Beto on the ticket. Abrams would swing Georgia and NC.
I want Harris or Sally Yates for AG. Either one would be able to clean the current stench form DOJ!
My other cabinet favorites:
Defense: Wes Clark
State: Samantha Power
Homeland Security: Malcom Nance
HUD: Pete Butegedge
Veterans Tammy Duckworth
Treasury Elizabeth Warren
Interior. Jay Inslee
Agriculture. Marcia Fudge

Moscow Mitch's uber corrupt criminal traitor wife, Elaine Chao, Sec of Transportation, is Taiwanese born to Taiwanese parents, so, she loses her position as 14th in line and is skipped over, to the numpty Rick Perry, Sec of Energy (shame it's not brain energy.)

(47,534 posts)And, really, I think that in general the running mate is not a former rival. Bush Sr. was the exception. Biden dropped right after the Iowa caucus and his experience was a good match for the novice Obama in both domestic and international affairs. Many were hoping for an Obam/Clinton ticket but it was clear it would not have worked.

(22,236 posts)Warren might be on a ticket with someone, but if she is, it will be as President, not VP. She is in it to win and nothing else. Besides, Joe Biden won't even be in the running by next Spring and will most likely drop out of the race as soon as his poll numbers sink well below Warren's or below someone else who you least suspect at this point in time.

(54,770 posts)Both Sanders' and Warren's vocal opposition to Obama's trade agreements and support of what Warren now calls "Economic Patriotism," is what got trump elected.
I wouldn't have a big issue with Warren as VP, because I think her heart is in the right place, even if her populist idea -- that we can make it trading among ourselves -- has been proven wrong by trump, and will likely drag this country down for decades in ways that impede all that she is promising.

(51,627 posts)We are supposedly intuitive. We also believe in the occult.
Maybe I have witch DNA too? I found out last year that a relative was the only woman tried as a witch in PA in 1683 and William Penn himself made a joke about it. Her neighbors were missing livestock and bad crops effected them so they were pissed off. They said their livestock was levitating and she did it. When they needed evidence for the trial to convict her it DISAPPEARED! Ha! I love it. She was acquitted then moved to NJ. I wish I has her skills to make the fucking moron disappear forever.

(55 posts)Im afraid youre thinking like a coastal college educated intellectual. Those other voters- Bible Belt , gun toting, easily brainwashed -and some racist voters will vote for the same snake oil salesman they did last time. 1/3 of Democrats will sit home out of laziness and the rest of the Republicans will vote their wallets and along party lines.
We lose again if its Biden/Warren. Biden should pick a young Midwest centrist; a great talker, someone who can shine as a veteran and a Christian. See my choice below.

(55 posts)And the talking heads on MSNBC (Im looking at you Rachel, Joe, Mika) lulled us Dems into a false sense of complacency in 2016. So apathetic Dems sat home thinking it was in the bag for Hillary. Maybe they were thinking, Trump is clearly insane, full of shit, who would fall for his snake oil salestalk? Michael Moore tried to warn us, but we didnt listen. Both MM and Bill Maher tried to warn us again last weekend on Bills show.
Are we listening now? Understand that even though Im a very enthusiastic Buttigieg supporter I will most definitely vote blue no matter who, as well as take my 85 year old mother out in her wheelchair to vote! Yes, she knows she can fill out an absentee ballot, but she adamantly insists on going to the polls.

(22,236 posts)There is no way Biden, if he were to miraculously win the nomination, would choose Elizabeth Warren for VP when their politics are light years apart, nor is there any way in which Warren would ever consider running with Biden when she knows it would be a lost cause with him heading the ticket. It would be 2016 all over again. Besides, Warren is in it to win. She isn't running for 2nd place. Not that she'd ever choose him, but a Warren/Biden ticket would be more believable than a Biden/Warren ticket. Then again, if Warren wins the nom, she'd probably choose someone like Castro, Abrams, or Buttigieg as her running mate.

(42,770 posts)write off Texas. Which we might need to offset TRussian interference. Trump keeps mentioning Minnesota so I predict it will happen there big time. He can't keep a secret.
As for Texas, they are #1 bigotted toward women big time and #2 her liberal politics would scare them to trump again. And because of Bidens age, VP will matter.
Hate all this but it's the realistic truth. Also Warren buys him nothing geographically.

(1,713 posts)Why? Age. The VP will not come from the half dozen candidates and my guess it will be a much younger canidate, maybe from a battleground state. A Biden/Abrams ticket would be far superior electorally than a ticket with Warren. I love Warren but she doesn't really expand the map- in my opinion. I personally like the AG of California, Tammy Duckworth and Sen. Masto of Nevada. Wild cards Andrew Gillum and Tom Perez
