In the epilogue of Dave Chapelle’s new stand up special, he tells the story of meeting then-DA Kamala Harris at one of his shows, where they decide to call up and leave a voice mail for Kamala’s friend who was about to launch a bid for president.

That “friend”? Barack Obama
