Democratic Primaries
Related: About this forumRep.Tim Ryan basically said that V.P.Joe Biden was mentally incompetent.
He was just being interviewed by MSNBC . It wasn't subtle and he went on for quite awhile.
I sent...." @RepTimRyan You are done. How dare you infer that a fellow candidate is "declining" in mental health. I promise to do everything I can to make you look like the nasty, sad, losing and jealous loser that you are."
He tried to do this in a more understated way to Nancy Pelosi when she was running for speaker. He is, in my opinion, a sleazy bottom feeder who is bad for the party.

(5,223 posts)Old Tim is having a problem with older folks. Just failed the Presidential test. Ageism is as bad as sexism or racism.

(7,277 posts)Parroting trump talking points will get him nowhere fast. I welcome the fact that both Biden & Warren are conducting live and let live campaigns. Handing slimy used bullets to MF45 is dumb.dumb.dumb.

(47,399 posts)Ever since he tried to undercut Pelosi, I've been very suspicious of him. Though I actually like a lot of the things he says, I don't trust him as a person. I think he'll do or say anything to further his career.
Going after a popular Democrat like Joe Biden is not a good way to win Democratic votes.

(115,674 posts)I know they have some policy differences but the two of them would be an unbeatable ticket (and I don't care a bit that they are no spring chickens). Tim Ryan was the same guy who dissed Nancy Pelosi in somewhat the same way, and he can go pound sand.

(47,399 posts)between most of the candidates are really quite minor. As such, voters are going to be looking at the person first and foremost. I try to picture a candidate physically in the Oval Office, meeting with foreign leaders, or giving the State of the Union address.
As for Ryan, he needs to earn some respect before he tries to take down people like Nancy Pelosi or Joe Biden. I'd say he needs to walk a mile in their shoes, but I doubt he could last a block. They didn't get to where they are by luck or accident.

(7,277 posts)immediately after Biden announced, but has kept her counsel since then. I am hoping she does not get drawn into a punch up on the Bankruptcy Act. Interviewers have played that video of her appearance before the Senate, but she has refused to take the bait.

(42,862 posts)He doesn't have the demeanor or temperament to be the Leader of the Free World. --- I'm sure that in his heart-of-hearts he knows he's not going to be our party's nominee. So what good purpose does it serve for him to try and kneecap our party's likely nominee?

(1,425 posts)Honestly, reacting to what he said probably amplifies it more than if everyone just ignored it. I'm just filing his latest statement in my memory, along with MANY other reasons why I would never vote for Tim Ryan--unless he was on the ticket for Pres/VP in the general election. I am FIRMLY in the "Vote Blue, no matter who" category.

(25,462 posts)went on Real Time and launched into the stupid myth that Democrats ignore the working class: "Will you tell the coal people in your state that coal is last century, we'll retrain you but we're not sending you back down the hole? We didn't go into states like that, we didn't go into rural areas." Bill interjects, "Hillary did." Hillary did exactly what Ryan claims Democrats don't do. How in the hell does he not know this? Or just keeping to some kind of anti-Democratic script.
