(32,640 posts)and town hall style gatherings that HRC held in response to the critique that the huge venues she filled in 2008 made her look like she "was being coronated."
But yes, when HRC held a rally, people really did turn out in numbers like the photo in the OP.

Today, today, you proved once again, theres no place like home, she told a jubilant crowd of more than 2,500 at the Sheraton New York hotel in Midtown after taking the stage to the song Empire State of Mind by Alicia Keys and Jay Z.
And more importantly, people rallied for her at the polls, where the crowd size really counts.
I think that Liz will be as successful in smaller gatherings, because like Hillary, she is truly an empathetic person, with a great deal of emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills. That's why her peers respect her so much and she has such influence with them. Some politicians are only really comfortable yelling and declaiming from a podium out into the vast sea of people the nearest of which are 25 feet away.

(38,049 posts)...yes hopefully you're right.
The media can make a big deal out of anything except, apparently, bragging about molesting women.
I often object to claiming that candidates are the same as candidates who went before, but seem to have done that to which I object.

(25,212 posts)If the primary were today, I'd have a difficult time choosing amongst four particular candidates. But something's nagging at me that I'd probably end up casting my vote for her.
I try not to make a decision until January of election year so I'm probably Undecided out of habit.
