(1,812 posts)She is going to get more votes than Biden when the 15% rule goes into effect The 15% rule is applied in each voting precinct ...If your candidate doesn't get 15 % , you must choose your second favorite amongst the remaining candidates who got at least 15% in round one ..

(3,322 posts)Otherwise Biden wins. The longer Bernie stays in the race the more likely Biden wins the nomination.

Good point about how he's hurting her. Particularly appreciate the generosity of your post since your candidate is Biden.

(3,322 posts)Either Biden or Warren is a win win. We have great candidates this cycle. Also great VP choices (love Harris, Pete, and Abrams just to name a few) as well as great cabinet choices: Biden SOS, Warren treasury, Harris AG, Inslee EPA, Bullock Interior etc etc.
Great cycle for the Dems!!

(8,745 posts)Warren has been steadily gaining. It should not surprise anyone to see her go ahead. The only question is where does the climb slow down.
Considering Biden is running as the "inevitable" candidate, it doesn't do him any good to have that aura punctured. If anything, it could seriously exacerbate things for him unless he starts putting in significantly stronger performances. Running as Obama's wingman only gets you so far.

Snip...
Iowas likely Democratic caucusgoers say that nominating a candidate who has a strong chance of beating President Donald Trump is more important than nominating someone who shares their positions on major issues.
Sixty-three percent say defeating Trump is more important, and 31% say its more important to find someone who aligns with them on the issues. Six percent are unsure.
But what does electability look like to likely Democratic caucusgoers?
Asked which of two phrases better fits their definition of the more electable candidate, 74% choose a candidate who can excite new voters and get them to show up, compared to 16% who say it's someone who excites the Democratic base.
Sixty-three percent say a candidate who takes positions seeking to find common ground with Republicans is more electable than someone who takes positions moving the country to the left (28%).
Snip...
But the race is far from settled: Just one in five likely Democratic caucusgoers say their minds are made up, while 63% say they could still be persuaded to support a different candidate.
primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden
