I have an idea

I've been noticing that some of our candidates are worried about making the next debate based on their number of donors. In this case, although it helps money wise to donate again to your favorite candidate, it doesn't help with the discrete donor requirement. So, here's my idea...

Let's do a different type of pledge drive. In the comments, post who you would be willing to donate to, and how much, in exchange for an equal donation to your candidate of choice.

For example, you could post: I will donate $5 to Cory Booker in exchange for a $5 donation to Beto. Then, a Cory supporter could respond and seal the deal. It would have to be honor system but I don't think that will be a problem.

I'm going to post my pledge in the first comment. This could be fun. 😋
If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:

4. Noticed that.

I'm a Coloradan. PLEASE don't donate to Cory Gardner's campaign.

5. I don't know what I was thinking.

I even had Cory Booker's Act Blue page open as I was writing that. Major brain fart.

6. Huh?

Why send money to someone you are not supporting
just so that person can get into the debates?

Your comment "This could be fun" ...
I don't see the 2020 election as a game.

It's deadly serious.

In my humble opinion, of course.

7. Well, I assume you would do it for someone you would like to see in the debates.

I have donated to 4 candidates, so far. At this stage, there are a number of candidates who are saying things I feel are important to the debates.

As for my "fun" comment-it was an attempt to do the types of things we use to do on DU. I miss those times. Time to accept they're gone, I guess.

8. I think she is likely touching on a person's first and second choice.

I would want a first choice to get money, but would also want to see a second choice definitely get money, until it comes down to crunchtime, then I would only want my first choice funded.
