Because of Greenwald’s Russian interference denialism, and their failure to protect the identity of Reality Winner when she leaked documents that provided proof of Russian Interference.

How The Intercept Outed Reality Winner

As to Sirota he’s a proven liar. Misrepresented individual donations as ‘corporate’ donations to try to take out Beto. That’s a fucking lie. He has zero credibility.

2. David Sirota reunites with Bernie...

From Sirota's Facebook announcement today, March 19, 2019:

Friends:

I wanted to let you know that I have accepted a job serving as Senator Bernie Sanders' senior adviser and speechwriter on his 2020 campaign for president.

I have spent more than a decade working as a columnist and journalist, and I am grateful to Capital & Main and Newsweek/IBT for giving me the opportunity to do investigative reporting at a level that won journalism awards and made real change. I believe journalism is an extremely important and necessary line of work, and I will miss it (and one day in the future, it is possible I may return to it).

However, when Bernie asked me to join his campaign, I felt I could not turn that request down, because I genuinely believe that the future of our country, our planet, and our children are at stake in this election.

As many of you know, I worked for Bernie 20 years ago, just after I got out of college when he was in the U.S. House. This was a formative experience for me. So in addition to knowing that this job is an important contribution to a national effort, I am personally thrilled to be working for one of the most decent and honorable people I've ever known. This new job was not something I expected or planned for -- but it is something I am excited to do.

For the foreseeable future, I will be shutting down my podcast. I will also be halting my monthly column with the Guardian.

I want to express my deepest thanks to all of you who have supported my journalism work over the years -- your support has meant so much to me, especially in those times when my work has generated blowback from the powerful. Onward.

Rock the boat,
David

He lied about individual donations and pretended they were corporate donations.

https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/2020-election/inside-bernie-world-s-war-beto-o-rourke-n951016

“It started with David Sirota, a liberal activist and journalist who worked for Sanders many years ago. In a long tweetstorm, Sirota noted that O'Rourke had received more donations from the oil and gas industry than any candidate in the 2018 cycle other than Cruz.

Something I didn’t know: Beto O’Rourke is the #2 recipient of oil/gas industry campaign cash in the entire Congress https://t.co/i5z3zHR03u pic.twitter.com/YYLJpg4uFG

— David Sirota (@davidsirota) December 2, 2018

The missing context: O'Rourke didn't take money from corporate political action committees, and the donations attributed to the oil and gas business include both a handful from executives and many others from lower-level employees of his home state's flagship industry. Altogether, they still account for a little more than half of one percent of all of the money he raised for the election.”

He lied. I wouldn’t trust Sirota’s word even if his tongue came notarized.

the two angry populists running in 2020. Bernie might even share the Intercept crew so everyone knows the and smiles they're sending out to foreign admirers.

He should run away from anyone connected to The Intercept. What will he do next, hire Glenn Greenwald to be his campaign director?
