Beto O'Rourke stages counter-rally to President Donald Trump's Dallas event

GRAND PRAIRIE — At a packed stadium in Dallas on Thursday, President Donald Trump lamented the “crazy Democrats” running against him, accusing Beto O’Rourke of trying to get rid of guns and religion.

Fifteen miles away, O’Rourke hosted a counter-rally with his own message: Take a stand against fear.

“I’m so proud of you for standing up and standing together and standing against that fear that Donald Trump, the man in the White House who holds the highest position of public trust in the land, the fear that he’s trying to use against us,” he said.

At his “Rally Against Fear,” O’Rourke said Americans need to fight against the fear the president propagates.

They have sliced and diced the working class, making us fear our fellow workers more than we fear the 1% who make our lives a misery.
