Do you think they'd impeach so a trial would be held in January?

As Shields or Brooks pointed out tonight, several candidates would be stuck in D.C. in the runup to the Iowa caucuses.

What do you think?

I'm pretty sure that's McTurtle's plan. He said the trial will be six days a week. hedda_foil Oct 2019 #1
A more strategic plan may be to send articles of impeachment to Senate a day before Super Tuesday. beastie boy Oct 2019 #2

After Super Tuesday, most Republicans who are running will have the threat of being "primaried" out of the Senate lifted, one way or another, and will be more free to vote in favor of conviction.

I am pretty sure that Pelosi, being in charge of what comes out of the House and when, has already taken this into consideration.
